You can't just pick the villain and say he represents capitalism. The matrix represents capitalism, Smith represents a whiney, dissatisfied, maladjusted socialist that doesn't like his lot in life, begins a communist agitation campaign and makes a bunch of copies of himself, which is the exact step by step method of setting off a communist revolution. He, like communism, is a threat to the lives of everyone, so much so that the system and the individualist rebels had to work together to put a stop to him.

i think smith does represent an unrestrained capitalist monopolist in part anyways. the directors are lefties as you know. the sequels dive into that aspect of marx that built within capitalism are the seeds of its own destruction.

Yeah, and I've explained before, the matrix and v for vendetta appeal to anti-government conservatives because the writers and directors misuse imagery and symbols that have meanings they get backwards. That and communists blame others for the consequences of their own ideology, and try to co-opt the good aspects of the things they are opposed to in order to try to sell their nonsense to people who don't know better. The result ends up being films that are great, but not for the what directors' and writers' intended them to be.

Nah, that's just the aspects of human nature that people have a tendancy to undermine themselves because they get insecure.

capitalism keeps growing on a finite planet. its based on throw away culture too. in addition we have examples of different civilizations collapsing.

I don’t need anything, I remember it being 101, 102degrees when I was a kid for a week straight. And we worked out in fields during that heat. Now they warn you, oh, don’t go outside, it’s climate change, and it’s dangerous. It’s a joke. Just drink water instead of energy drinks and you’ll be just fine. Plenty of water. I will say, whatever makes up the contrails of airplanes isn’t helping anything. Have you ever seen what comes out of an airplane at high altitude? It starts as a skinny strip, and spreads untill it basically turns a beautiful sunny day into a hazy, cloudy day. Almost like that haze could trap some heat?

Climate does change but not over human lifetimes. The fallacy is believing in anthropogenic climate change. Absolutely no proof changes are caused by man.

The way you can tell it’s fake it’s because it’s always about politics and money they scare you and try to take your money over and over again with another emergency or disaster that’s just on the horizon if you don’t cooperate
