And that’s fine and dandy but I’m not a 22.4 driver, we didn’t have to pay anything for insurance the last contract either, and Martin Luther king day is racist and not enough to make up for inflation. Not to mention I don’t like celebrating a woman beaters day.

What I'm trying to say is maybe that's not a direct raise but is more money in your pocket

There's not too many places where you don't have to pay at least a little something towards your health care

Yes I get it. There’s also not too many places that put the demands on you that ups does either. Working long oddball shifts where u can’t see your family. We’ve earned that. I’ve said this since I started here, if ups didn’t give me free health ins. and pay the kind of money they do, there is no way in hell I would even entertain doing this job. I would be off working for myself making money before I work for someone else making money.

In todays world you can just volunteer to clean someone’s property out and make six figures. There are quite a few ways to make money.
