Do you know any details about the telematics report depicting "talking after delivering" (I presume that means Stop Complete)?

I'm talking about electronic eavesdropping.
Don't tell me it's not available and that a company wouldn't listen to specific people's conversations.
Is it legal? Probably not. Is it done? Well...

I think I misread your question yesterday.

Can the company somehow "record" conversations through the Diad ?

Not that I know of.

In states that are 2 party consent, that would be illegal.

To my knowledge, only SPARCS could show the time between stop complete

and the next scan. It can also show how long it took to get a signature.

Now couple that with telematics, it could paint a picture.

(Or the virtual time study program.... which is BS)

Here's a little gem I ran across.

How about addressing the issue of cost of living for current full-timers. I mean, some dude in Nebraska makes the same I do living in the Bay Area. He lives a pretty good life. Meanwhile I'm still paycheck to paycheck. Come on...

That's a valid point.

Something, that could be addressed in your supplemental language.

That's your problem.

Is that the attitude....

You want the IBT to take, when it comes to your Pension ?

Some day when things change here I'll pm you a valid story about the diad issue. I believe that you will be amazed ( at least slightly).
Recording it would be bad for them. Listening in is another issue.

I always like good UPS stories.

Here's a thought....

(and I will need some help from @Indecisi0n)

Talk dirty to your Diad.

Vile things, about management and your coworkers.

Let's see what happens.

Funny stuff.
The other issue isn't as entertaining.
Someday you'll know BUG.
I pretty much guarantee it.

They will come in an hour early, then stand around for another half hour after our start time, in hopes of being "allowed" to go home"?

Boggles my mind.
Once I get up, get dressed, and drive to that place.....

.....I'm getting my money, every penny.

Figure in the interest on the money that isn't going into my 401k, and that dead day will cost me thousand$.

I'll take a dive a couple times a year, maybe, but never after I already reported.

SMH
EXACTLY!! I'm here. I'm working. There were a few times when they'd have us move pallets in trailers, if we insisted on staying for our full 8. THEY SHOULD HAVE OFFERED ME THE DAY OFF, THE DAY BEFORE !! I'm here, and I'm getting paid. If we'd all do this, they'd plan their days "A Lot" better. If they know we'll go home if they are over staffed, they are going to do it all the time! You are so right!

Bingo. If I brown up and get in my car I'm working. We have drivers in my center that live 45 minutes away, and would go home 4 days a week if they could, after driving all the way in.
I've never understood that thinking.

In no event shall a driver be sub- ject to reimbursement for loss or damage to a Driver Release parcel valued at one hundred dollars ($100.00) or less.

I propose we move this up to $300-$500.
Wow, I don't think I know what this means. Please explain. If a driver releases a package (assuming it's not a sig required) and it gets stolen. do drivers have to pay for that package??

If the driver did not follow proper DR methods he/she could be "asked" to reimburse the company for lost packages worth $100 or more.

Perhaps.

We had a driver accused of a bad DR worth around $300.

Rather than fight it, and just to be a D*, he agreed to repay them at a dollar a week.

asked as in, the driver has a choice? Or asked as in, the company is being civil and you are obligated to pay it?

I'm thinking unless it's a sig required, out of the weather, out of sight, to the correct address. It's a good delivery. No Jeopardy?

I don't "think" drivers have to pay for bad deliveries in CA unless it's a sig required, , , , , , But I could be wrong. they've asked me (30 years ago) but I didn't pay it. so that was a choice.
AT THAT TIME new guys!

DR it at the wrong address.
See what they say.
Override a No Dr and see what happens.
