If that were me, I would never DR a single package ever again.

LP gave a driver a hard time once. Told him he's getting too many DFUs. If he gets one more he's going to make him pay for it.

The next day the driver came back with 67 send against (before access point). The center manager was furious with LP and told the driver to ignore the DFUs. We all thought he did a pretty good job actually. I mean 67 out of 215 isn't bad. ;)

Starting wage is a waste of time.

Perfect example of putting the onus on the company. They should not have it both ways. My job is to deliver and pickup parcels. They want to impede the process, that's on them.

When I was in package, that's the way I saw it. They rode with me an extreme amount of times. I learned the methods, very close to management. that's what they'll fire you for. Not working per methods. Not the speed.
Come to stop. Pull brake. Pull keys, stand up and open bulkhead, scan/line up 30" of shelf, pull package, look at next stop, leave and close bulkhead, grab handrail, set foot on ground (15 seconds ?). Walk to front, scanning for safe walk path, scan for signs of life, scan/sheet package, yelling out UPS, looking for out of sight, out of weather, spot for package, knock on door, turn and walk to car scanning for safe walk path, while writing where pkg is left, grabbing handrail, slip into seat, inserting keys, securing seat belt, and release brake, while starting engine, into gear, and roll.
AND DON'T BE METHODICAL ABOUT !! BE FLUID! THINK FOR YOURSELF'S !!
If the company wanted robotic, they can have it!!! I don't think, I don't make decisions, if there is not a method covering the situation ---- It's a send again!

God Forbid you sprain an ankle while:

ALL AT THE SAME TIME!!!
yep! I got a little worked up on the memories of that BS!! But after 20 years , that's what I still remember. That's the way I worked. I threw time out the window. It was not uncommon for us to go into the hole 1.5-2.0 hours, When I had a rider. Time was no longer an issue. Everything would be done exactly the same way, regardless of how long it took. Sup would walk like a bat outta hell, when setting foot on the ground to the delivery point, thinking I would carry the same pace. Think again, Mr Sup ! I'll meet you there, as soon as I get there. That's what management gets, when they harass us to an extreme. I bet you know someone like me in your center. Maybe two! I doubt three.
The point of my Tirade/Tangent (forgive me my peeps), Do the job as your told and don't make any decisions on your own. Screw "over allowed".

He just put it better and shorter than I did.

Roger that! New DIADS tell when you're at the wrong address, don't they? Thanks
Not all the time. You can Dr pkgs at the wrong house within 200 feet of where you're supposed to be and it will not alert you.
Evidently you're not aware or are not in package.

A little bit shorter.
Size matters tho.

9.5 list protection should include every one from day one. You should have to opt out to get more work and have it apply through December

Yes. And every one of my brothers in Brown problem too. Jerks like you is what makes locals so weak. Thanks for yet another worthless, nonsensical input Dave. You've added nothing
Don't be fooled.... Dave utilizes the union when needed... utilizes mgt when needed..he's playing both sides

Do you think it fair that you be paid more than me for doing the same job simply because you choose to live in a more expensive part of the country?

Market based wages should only be considered when the Company is having a hard time finding qualified applicants, mostly due to competing wages (Balkkan oil fields); other than that, you know the wage going in and it is up to you to determine whether that wage meets your needs.

As you've said, you seem to think it would be OK for us to top out at $25 because YOU live in a cheaper area. Sounds awfully hypocritical to me

No, I think UPS should top us out at $25-30/hr because that is what I think is an fair wage for a job that requires only a HS diploma and drivers license. It has nothing to do with where I live.
