Ups probably pays much more than 3 bucks an hour into a medical plan for pters...and to be eligible for your parents insurance they need to probably be going to school... do employer plans even cover 26 year olds anymore??
TeamCare for pt's is over $300 a week. That's a bit more than $3 per hour.

You're talking out of "both sides of your mouth".

Exactly;

Where do you think, you can make a comparative wage ?

With free Healthcare and a Defined pension plan ?

If you know of another opportunity....

Feel free, to offer your suggestions to the guy that just got wacked for theft.

-Bug-

At my current age? Not an option.

When I was in my 20's? Many options.

Any new ideas.... for contract proposals ?
I don't know what the number should be. But if we don't get part time folks paid a premium wage, we're (neither UPS nor Teamsters) are going to attract and retain premium folks. So I think if there is considerable pay increase, it should be in the PT operations.

No, I think UPS should top us out at $25-30/hr because that is what I think is an fair wage for a job that requires only a HS diploma and drivers license. It has nothing to do with where I live.

In a metro area the profit potential for a big company like UPS is maximized so they can :censored2: off and pay top dollar if they want to make that money

Hey I post the facts here
FACT
Fake, false, (ph)foney, frivolous, facetious, funky, and flamboyant facts?

Or filibustering fictitious facts with a motive to fracture feelings with your far flung forked tongue frustrating your friends?

How many PTers actually use their benefits?

This may well be why our Healthcare Fund has an 18 month surplus.
How many wear glasses, contacts; get a cold or influenza, pregnant, get dental work done.

You got thirty pt timers in your building? Take a poll.

If they have a surplus, why would they ask for more money? Our pension is struggling big time-----this is where any additional monies should go.
Are you hiding behind the contract? (As you've accused others on here of.)

Now, the union is of use to you? To negotiate more $ for your retirement? Please tell us about the Joe Unions who will be negotiating the CBA for you...how they're overpaid...and why you need the union now.

You just answered your own question. And you only feel this way because you're ready for retirement.
Yeah, tell him wide load.
Maybe the negotiators for the CBA ought to show up and negotiate for his retirement issues in 2018 like he did in 97 at his coworkers strike line.

Uh....no. I would feel the same if I were just starting out.

Our healthcare is fiscally sound. Our pension is not.

Yawn.
