Then with all the other deaths caused by the "reaction" to COVID 19.... Have we overreacted? Safe to say, HELL YES!! And killed many other innocents along the way. Sad and disturbing!!!
actually trump under reacted and killed 80% of the corona virus people unnecessarily. same thing with global warming.

Yep. And I know you'd like to move here but can't. So sorry, missing the fact that you could be my neighbor in the Great USofA. lol
its history and it repeats. how many lives ruined?

the unenlightened cant recall history. they cant recall about wikileaks or julians current predicament.

the correct reaction to 9/11 would be to stop pursuing policies which create terrorists in the first place.

Yet another article (this one referring to the aforementioned NY Times article) saying everything is wrong about how COVID 19 is being reported on.

Oops: It Looks Like the Vast Majority of Positive COVID Results Should Have Been Negative

If the coronavirus has made one thing clear, it's that so-called "scientists" and "experts" are wrong all the time. They can't accurately forecast a virus, they tell us different things about the effectiveness of a face mask, they insist the virus can't spread at leftwing protests, and there's a myriad of other examples too long to document here showing us the "experts" are really just making it all up as they go along, with their political biases on display for everyone with eyes to see.

My question would be: Would those people, for all of their sicknesses or preexisting conditions, still be alive if they had not also contracted COVID? If yes, I'd count them as a COVID death.

I agree with this, which is why I refrained from posting that 6% statistic. It would be nearly impossible to determine whether covid was responsible for the deaths with comorbidities. But you can look through the table and see that at least some were clearly not caused by covid.

What the whole things boils down to is whether or not any action, or no action, could have changed the outcome. I think there is a strong case to be made that we should just let people decide for themselves what risks are reasonable. Protections for people keeping their jobs if they feel unsafe enough to not risk going to work during a pandemic would go a long way. There will always be plenty of people who are willing to carry everyone else, economically speaking.

There is also some scientific push-back on the studies that purport to link covid to heart damage. I can't find a credible source to link yet, but I'm sure It's coming.

And yet we hear nothing in the media about this; it's like they have an agenda and don't want you to know- like they want to influence the outcome of some event.

How did you read the story then? You read it in the media. How long are nutjobs going to keep crying about not reading stories in the media that they read in the media?

I had to google it to confirm the truth after I heard someone else talk about it. How long are nutjobs, (you) going to keep acting like they know everything and are never wrong?
If a person has to hunt for information, it's NOT in the media; it's hidden because it doesn't suit an agenda.

Until idiots that cry victim all day actually present some information that runs counter to my views. Whining about the media is not very persuasive.
