people seem to be having a hard time self regulating.

we have a second wave here and people are playing basketball like its nobodies business...

my mom cant self regulate.

It is nobody's business. Worry about yourself. If you are concerned about dying from covid, stay away from others, don't force them to accommodate you. Very simple stuff. Second wave. That including the vast majority of false positives?

There is also some scientific push-back on the studies that purport to link covid to heart damage. I can't find a credible source to link yet, but I'm sure It's coming.
i havent heard that it does not affect the heart, but i havent followed it too closely. you can probably find scientists who will say anything, but that doesnt make it true or not. let us know why you think your source is credible when you post it.

when people dont treat me as i would want to be treated, IE not staying at home when they are sick, then it becomes my business. obviously. thats when their freedom interferes with my own.

Now he's talking trash about Sweden, when they clearly got it right. See, I don't support everything Trump does or says.
they clearly :censored2:ed up. look how long it took them to flatten the curve. 2.5 months to do it. pathetic. looks like they did a lockdown on 6/25 to achieve that kind of drop:

Judge me.
This was a perfect opportunity to let mother nature do her thing, trim some of the dead weight off society. All this "flatten the curve" bole schat. Should have just spiked the curve

Doesn't work that way. Everyone's rights interfere with everyone else's freedoms. That's a very simple explanation of societies. You don't get to tell people when they have to stay home to keep you safe. If you don't feel safe, you stay home.

Like you said, you can find scientists who will say anything, and they have said all sorts of bull :censored2: about covid 19, before they had any facts, as though they were true. One being asymptomatic transmission. Even after that was disproven, they still pushed it as a possibility, and used that as an excuse to force people to stay home, close down businesses, and wear useless masks. When scientists lie, and it destroys countless people's lives, they should be held accountable.

It will be fine

The flatten the curve idea was to prevent hospitals from being overwhelmed. If their healthcare system was able to keep up they probably did ok. Beginning of June for most people there to be outside often would also coincide with a drop in cases by mid June.

i dont necessarily trust this source but i assume this to be true.

There are too many confounding factors to know why Sweden didn't do as well as other Scandinavian countries. But compared to the rest of Europe, they are middle of the road. If you argue from a conclusion, you pick the data sets that support your conclusion. When you examine the evidence and let that guide you to a conclusion, you will be closer to the truth.

no when you dont follow the golden rule is when you have too much freedom. for example if im blasting the music so loud that im disturbing my neighbours is an example of me having too much freedom.

i agree the answer could be complicated.

sweden is #5 for deaths per million in the world. so thats definitely not middle of hte road. im going to find how many cases they had per capita next.

If you actually look at graphs of places that did lock downs, and compare when they did them to when their numbers dropped, you will not see even a correlation between lock downs and decreases in cases. To suggest that this drop was in any way due to a lock down is on par with telling people they need to wear masks. Absolute nonsense. Most places took months to work through their covid numbers. My state is taking even longer because my stupid governor keeps mandating things that make the spread worse, then blames us for not complying enough. We didn't have enough cases to even consider taking any action when we locked down. Then, our cases exploded after the lock downs were over. Of course people say we reopens too soon, but that's not true. The lock downs caused the explosion of cases.
