Another issue is that places like France and Spain, and a couple other European countries, have been having pretty big spikes over the last two weeks, with cases in that period almost eclipsing all of Sweden's cases to date.

I've been over this so many times, even in this thread. Not going to rehash it again. "My mask protects you, your mask protects me" is made up, feel good, bull that is derived from multiple misunderstandings of how masks work, the lack of the general public's (and some supposed "experts") knowledge of the differences between viruses and bacteria, and the neurotic need for authority figures to appear to be doing something.

Kayleigh McEnany:

“The President was referring to new information from the CDC that shows that 94 percent of cases of fatalities were not just COVID alone, there was another comorbidity or extenuating matter, so he was just pointing to those numbers,” she said, adding: “He was highlighting new CDC information that came out that was worth noting.”

What he actually did was retweet the patently untrue assertion of a QAnon supporter that new CDC data contained a bombshell: only six percent of people died from COVID-19 alone, meaning that the death count and fear of the pandemic has been falsely inflated. On Sunday “only 6%” was trending on Twitter.

It's literally on the CDC website buddy.
You might want to ask yourself why the left wing garbage media you consume didn't tell you about it.

The six percent statistic refers to the relatively small number of people die from COVID-19 without having any secondary conditions develop, or having other health conditions to begin with.

The six percent statistic refers to the relatively small number of people die from COVID-19 without having any secondary conditions develop, or having other health conditions to begin with.
They've also determined that the majority of deaths in the 1918 pandemic weren't from the virus itself but from bacterial infections that took hold due to the virus weakening the immune system. They didn't have antibiotics then.

Since March, when the pandemic started, the United States has suffered 200,000 more deaths than usual. These are known as excess deaths.
“It’s important to recognize that it’s not some ‘other people’ that are vulnerable,” Caitlin Rivers, an assistant professor at Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, told The New York Times in May. “The kinds of conditions that put people at higher risk are extremely common.”

thats 2. id like a list of 10 please
You said top killers. Heart disease and being fat is the top, I don’t know what the other 8 are. Judging on new CDC numbers we know it wasn’t COVID. But in any event humans put out the largest carbon footprint. So not enough ppl died to help Mother Earth.

so by year end COVID will be number 3

i guess in this year the flu killed 55k, so covid is 4x or 5x more deadly based on this year.

It all depends on how you look at it. Elderly and pre existing conditions. Or regular, everyday healthy individuals who straight up died because of the virus. Oddly enough almost all the top common killers can be tied directly to obesity and inflammation in the body.
