Well, Virginia has it's first reported case. And sure enough, I went to Wegman's and all the toilet paper was gone...

It’s in one of the towns I deliver to, and the town next over.

And possibly the town next to mine.

It’s moving fast...

Good thing Trump says we’ve contained it, guess I have nothing to worry about!

Asked my supervisor if he’d heard anything from Corporate about coronavirus, was there a plan?

He just looked at me, then we both started laughing.

A rare display of comity.

It's really amazing how well he understands this stuff.

All it takes is a couple people on the sort getting sick and they'll shut the whole building down I assume. Once word gets out half the people will refuse to come in anyway.

Yah, if this gets out of hand, UPS is fkd.

Already had a consignee tell me to sign for her, she just didn't want to touch the DIAD.

Here we go...

Just had two deaths in Florida, both in their 70's. With so many elderly in Florida this could get exceptionally bad there. My 81 year old father and 76 year old mother live there.

At the very least, it’s a wake up call about how ill-prepared we are for something serious.

Counter-intuitively, the Spanish Flu killed the healthiest more than the sick or elderly.

Something about a healthy person’s response to that particular virus just amped up the viruses attack.

We don’t know how bad this virus is yet, but the response is...lacking.

So much for the idea that the US has the best healthcare system...

I am saying that the threat is very real according to what I have been reading...not that I believe any particular source or hold any opinion

i think we've seen this one before , Phylogenetic analysis revealed that 2019-nCoV fell within the subgenus Sarbecovirus of the genus Betacoronavirus, with a relatively long branch length to its closest relatives bat-SL-CoVZC45 and bat-SL-CoVZXC21, and was genetically distinct from SARS-CoV. Notably, homology modelling revealed that 2019-nCoV had a similar receptor-binding domain structure to that of SARS-CoV, despite amino acid variation at some key residues.
