It’s in one of the towns I deliver to, and the town next over.
And possibly the town next to mine.
It’s moving fast...
Good thing Trump says we’ve contained it, guess I have nothing to worry about!
Is it bad I still don’t give a ?
Can someone educate me on why I should?
Reading comprehension much?drama queen much?
trump , pence , many epidemiologists and the CDC have all said that that they expect case numbers will go up as testing becomes readily available and helps identify existing cases.
Doc NewfMan!i think we've seen this one before , Phylogenetic analysis revealed that 2019-nCoV fell within the subgenus Sarbecovirus of the genus Betacoronavirus, with a relatively long branch length to its closest relatives bat-SL-CoVZC45 and bat-SL-CoVZXC21, and was genetically distinct from SARS-CoV. Notably, homology modelling revealed that 2019-nCoV had a similar receptor-binding domain structure to that of SARS-CoV, despite amino acid variation at some key residues.

Okay, so it’s a big deal because of your hypothetical super aids. This is a dry-run, and the world community is failing.
This particular virus doesn’t seem to be that bad, but the jury is out.
Currently, this virus (seems to be) transmitted directly, i.e. person to person, like the common cold or the flu.
But if this virus spread by airborne transmission, then all bets are off.
We could still deal with it, but it would be a MAJOR FKG HASSLE, and a lot of people would die, like they do every year from the annual flu.
But...imagine if there’s a virus like HIV that goes airborne, we would be utterly destroyed.
That would be a cull beyond what even you think is acceptable, and it would grind the world to a halt.
So, the fact that the world is screwing up handling this particularly nasty flu doesn’t bode well for when the REAL sht comes down the pike...

Got it.
Ask yourself, who would/could benefit from such a thing? This is a dry-run, and the world community is failing.

Most people don't understand that this isn't even the early innings, the players are just taking the field. No, it’s a big deal because we can’t seem to handle a small deal.
It kills 80% of elderly and sick.
Flu kills.1 Corona kills 5% and that number climbs every day. It kills 80% of elderly and sick. So as long as you don't have grandparents or elderly parents or know anyone who may have a weak immune system or maybe even heavy smokers because it attacks lung then you should be fine.
