It goes beyond that. He wants medical science to be failsafe. He will not live long enough to see that happen . Unless of course he happens to shake hands with Dr. Leonard McCoy from the Starship Enterprise. In the meantime medical science will not be failsafe. It will only go as far as technology and human intelligence will allow. It has however made tremendous strides but in the meantime one can only go with the percentages and on the basis of what is reliably known . Not what is completely failsafe.

However Minority America is only one or two generations removed from the Vietnam War and how it was treated during the era of military conscription to fight a war that was lost years before the US finally quit in defeat is a memory that is still fresh and raw in the minds of American minorities.
