No doubt it won't be easy. Moving everything offshore took time too. And we have examples of manufacturers building factories here to avoid tariffs already. Numerous foreign car companies have factories in the U.S.

One problem I'm seeing is we signed a trade agreement with Canada and Mexico that allowed our companies to put factories in those two countries to avoid higher labor costs in the U.S. Japan and others have taken advantage of this too by moving some of their factories out of the U.S. and into Mexico. Trump is now going after Mexico and Canada for the trade imbalance that our government working with our companies caused. We do need a better balance of trade but to hear him tell it it's the Mexicans and Canadians pushing unfair trade practices.
Was that NAFTA?

And to be fair, that was Trump’s deal that he’s now going against. don’t get me wrong. I like the idea of getting rid of the IRS, but this plan is only half hatched or has not been laid out completely.

Trumps USMCA
Which was supposed to be a better deal for us then NAFTA.

But let's face it. As Trump has pointed out the U.S. economy is about a fourth of the entire world economy and everyone wants access to it. If he can figure out a way to pay our government's expenses through trade great. But it's going to require bringing our spending down considerably. And blaming others for the mess we put ourselves in isn't going to win us many friends.

I do agree with a lot of that. And maybe this term will be different but Trump doesn’t have a great track record of not spending less he likes to spend a lot.

Well, I’ve said before I’m not MAGA, that doesn’t mean I don’t agree with Trump sometimes or think he’s the devil like the other side.
I think he's something we haven't seen in awhile. A real leader. If he doesn't get it right at first I think he'll correct course. But he's a man of action. Not a placeholder. And exactly what we need to counter all the parasites in Washington bleeding us dry.

Most of his supporters don't like Trump the man that much. They just agree with most of his policies.

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.
