Well, I am going to die one day so maybe you are right.
You’re old so you’ll probably die soon.

But for those younger, even those with pensions or 401(k) or anybody else for that matter, what does it matter?

In time, all other factors catch up and the fact is that their buying power hasn’t increased and has in many instances probably decreased.

Nine Lives

The top 20% of Americans own 92% of all stock wealth. Wall Street - the rich enriching themselves by playing games with the lives of everyone else.
Don't start that silly :censored2: again! Please!

Here's who actually owns the stock market
Of the $22.8 trillion in stock outstanding (not including US ownership of foreign stock and stock owned by "pass-through entities" such as exchange-traded funds), retirement accounts owned roughly 37%, the most of any type of holder.

im sure your wrong. the math doesnt make any sense. why would most people, who have no wealth, and no income relative to the total pie, own most of the stock.

also watched a recent chomsky interview and he said the same thing.

its ok to disagree.

makes no sense in a country with terrible inequality that the stock market would be more equal.

and yea i posted a ton of articles, usually the first thing i found of google (so i can't say its a reputable source, although they are recognizable), so its not really like i was cherry picking to prove my point.

most peoples wealth is in their homes (if they even have one).

i dont believe in a black and white world where everything the government does is good or bad.

It's your equality statement which is false. As long as people have freedom to choose inequalities will exist.

Even Bono from U2 recently did an interview extolling the benefits of capitalism in regards to Africa

i think alot of people think free markets = amazing
government = bad.

maybe im wrong.
a free market is the only market you can go from have not to something, your idea or creative process is not stolen from you, the means of production is controlled by the market not government controls, nor are you treated the same as someone else
