Sounds good, but I hate the futuristic body styles. I wish they would make it look less like something from StarTrek and more like something from the gates of hell
They're not being sold to consumers anyways. EV dorks put down $100 deposits for something they can't buy. Might as well go out and rent one of those ride share electric scooters and zip around like a 7 year old, it'd be a better use of your money.

A dude builds a 0 to 60 in 1.9s car. That car has four doors and two trunks and 700 miles of range.

Then He builds half a million cars in a year. Then he'll build a million cars in a year. He launches thousands of satellites, and lands reusable rockets on their on rear ends.

And then he puts out a truck that destroys the performance of everything you know and love, and you laugh because it'll take him a year to make hundreds of thousands of them?

Ignorance. Just ignorance.

You care about all of those things. You just don't like EV's. You like noise, smoke, and all that. That's fine and good.

But it shouldn't stop you from recognizing that ICE simply cannot, and will not, be competitive.

Yawn.
I drive a Jap 4cyl that cost me 12k brand new, gets 30+mpg and will last me 20 years easy.

Good luck with your little toy truck dreams though kiddo.

Its like ordering a Tesla and waiting 2 years for delivery.

Are the mass production facilities ready to produce a meaningful number for consumers? If not it is just a bunch of smoke.
You do realize that Tesla delivered half a million cars this year, right? And have their production capacity tripling next year?

Yes, Lordstown owns the 3rd largest auto plant in the country. They bought it from GM, and GM left all the robots behind. They're ready.

What is ignored is the service life of the batteries and replacement costs. Might as well send the thing to the junkyard when that happens.

But wait! Those batteries are toxic waste so can't do that.

Id never buy a Tesla. Especially after seeing the vid of one losing control of the brakes and simultaneous accelerating into a devastating end over end flipping accident lol

More ignorance.
It's like you guys are stuck a decade ago.

The batteries will not only outlast the usefulness of your car, but they will outlast the body of the car itself.

This is so true that Tesla and others already plan to harvest the batteries from old cars and use them for backup power grid storage. The batteries will last longer than any other part of the car.

No, they'll be better than internal combustion at every single function, and cheaper, within a few years.

There will be no place for combustion. Electric will simply be better at every measure, from performance to price. It's coming.
You can't charge that many batteries in 2 minutes. I can fuel a completely empty 20 gallon gas tank in less then two minutes.
Keep dreaming though

1) This only matters on road trips. With charging at home, it actually takes less time to fill up than at a gas station. Why? Because I don't stop at all. No gas station trips. That's better than your 2 minutes. I use 0 minutes to fill up.

2) On a road trip, you're already going to stop for 10 to 20 minutes every 3 to 6 hours. And that's enough to charge.

This is seriously easy.
