....and stored where....? Unlike the turkeys, which they just threw in to a spare PC, bagged ice melts very quickly.

When my building used bagged ice the freezers were provided by the ice company.

Before we had ice machines we had an ice service at our building that brought bagged ice into 2 feeders supplied by the ice company. Just like the ones at stores that sell ice.

This is the excuse used by our center manager for not keeping the ice box full of bagged ice. “Too much is being stolen!” Or… maybe this is Texas in the summer, and the two ice machines can’t keep up with the demand…

While it certainly could be the latter it is more likely the former, especially if the bagged ice tends to disappear just before the weekend.

Picnic coolers fit comfortably in the trunk of most cars. Take 2-3 bags in the morning and another 2-3 bags after punching out and you are all set for the weekend.

I can’t imagine why anyone would steal ice when a bag of ice is like $3. It’s like stealing pens or toilet paper.

The only work related thing you have to do is be in uniform before start time. After that it's up to management to give you enough time to get supplies, download Eddie, grab call tags, preform pre tip and anything else you may need to do. If they want to make your start time 5 min before you should be leaving the building that's on them.

It could be said they should pay you to dress also......and buy your socks too. Could be....
