Keeping finances separate, not a good idea, IMO. Then you are paying, or she is paying, instead of we are paying, fights will happen. Only way that is a good idea is if you are not planning on it lasting a lifetime, then why get married. Just my two cents.
Keeping finances seperate is th best thing to ever happen to my marriage.

Each have your own bills and who cares what you do with the rest.

Also couldn't imagine not living together first. I know others have different beliefs. However you'll learn more in the first couple months living together than you have in 2 years dating.

My wife and I (together 21 years, married 12) have our money separate. But then we have a joint account that we each put money into every payday to pay for the house and other bills. I have my money, she has her money and she has our money. She seems like the winner here. :D
