Wow, wow, wow,
C9ners must really hate this news !
And Romney can kick his own butt being happy he saved 110.000 jobs (don't know how many went missing though)
Compared to what Obama now can say - he saved over a MILLION jobs and adding more !

Its only ok to bang on american business Klein not support the re growth of American manufacturing. The republicans are only good for building manufacturing in china and the pacific rim and anything american isnt american anymore as they would rather them out of business.

Its ok for Romney to take businesses apart and turn a profit, lay off employees to save the owners, ship jobs overseas and sell off the remaining parts and thats called capitalism, but our goverment investing in an american ICON and saving an industry is SOCIALISM!

Great manufacturing news is bad news for republicans, they have spent the last 8 years of BUSH destroying it and that communist OBAMA is rebuilding it!!

Peace.

What are you so thrilled about, it wasn't Canadian motors.

How many more times do I need to mention that Canada also has GM, Chrysler & Ford plants ?
And how many more times do I need to mention that not only the US Government bailed out GM, but also Canadian, Ontario and German governments !

You're old enough - you should have that common knowledge !

General Motors Co. is revamping its Chevrolet Volt plug-in electric vehicle to meet California emissions
requirements, aiming to juice sales after failing last year to qualify for state incentives that helped fuel the rise
of Nissan Motor Co.’s rival Leaf.

Chevrolet engineers made modifications to the Volt’s exhaust system and expect by March to begin selling models
that meet California’s stringent emissions standards, allowing California buyers to qualify for a $1,500 state
rebate on top of a $7,500 federal tax break.

The firestorm over the Chevy Volt battery pack fire is moving next week to a hearing before the House
Oversight and Government Reform Committee, the hearing is to feature Dan Akerson, GM's CEO.

In May 2011 a Chevy Volt underwent extreme crash testing by the NHTSA, and three weeks later it caught fire while
on a storage lot. In September 2011 the White House was notified of the fire, but it was not disclosed to the
public until November 12, 2011 when Bloomberg News broke the news.
This delay in public disclosure is the subject
of a hearing next week before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. It was learned today that
GM's CEO Dan Akerson will appear before the committee.

[h=2]Report: GM Dealers Refusing To Take Shipments of Chevy Volts…[/h]

oincidentally, the American people will refuse to take another Obama term.
DETROIT — Some Chevrolet dealers are turning down Volts that General Motors wants to ship to them, a potential stumbling block as GM looks to accelerate sales of the plug-in hybrid.

For example, consider the New York City market. Last month, GM allocated 104 Volts to 14 dealerships in the area, according to a person familiar with the matter.

Dealers took just 31 of them, the lowest take rate for any Chevy model in that market last month. That group of dealers ordered more than 90 percent of the other vehicles they were eligible to take, the source said.

In Clovis, Calif., meanwhile, Brett Hedrick, dealer principal at Hedrick’s Chevrolet, sold 10 Volts last year. But in December and January he turned down all six Volts allocated to him under GM’s “turn-and-earn” system, which distributes vehicles based on past sales volumes and inventory levels.

GM’s “thinking we need six more Volts is just crazy,” Hedrick says. “We’ve never sold more than two in a month.” Hedrick says he usually takes just about every vehicle that GM allocates to him.

GM spokesman Rob Peterson confirmed that “dealer ordering is down” for the Volt. He said many dealers have been waiting for resolution of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s investigation into the risk of fires in the car’s battery pack. Last year three packs caught fire in the days or weeks following government test crashes.

Once again you twist the truth. The truth is, American republicans would love to see all US businesses succeed right here on our own soil. The catch is, they don't feel the expense of that success should to be on the American tax payer's shoulder.
Why is it that only when republicans send jobs overseas are you against that? With the Gibson guitar wood thing, zer0 himself said that work done in the USA should be done out of this country. (Before you spit all over yourself about the international laws on this, government officials from the country sending the wood here said there were on infractions of that law.)
There are other examples of zer0 financing jobs in other countries that could be done right here. You know it, everyone knows it.
And socialism, what do YOU call it when the government takes money from the citizens of the country and hands it over to companies with bad business plans? What sense does it make to spend a million tax dollars to create one job that will not pay a million in wages over the life time of the job holder, much less return even a small portion of the original million in taxes?
