and??? I own several firearms and have never killed anyone. But I sure love the fact that if anyone comes into my house with bad intentions I stand a fighting chance of messing up their plans

And if you look at murder rate per 100,000 for all countries using all means, not just guns, the U.S. is ranked 89th out of 230. And if you take away our ten cities with the highest murder rates the U.S. is much safer than much of the world. And if you live in one of our high murder rate cities it would be wise to own a gun of your own to protect yourself and your family.

The U.S. is 21st for murder with guns. It's overall homicide rate places it at 89th. People use more than guns to kill others. People get stabbed, beaten, strangled, thrown off buildings or out of windows, poisoned, hanged, bombed, burned, run over with cars.
