i would argue the Soviet Union was destined to collapse even if he had sat back and done nothing; i would also argue that Nixon/Ford/Carter were a trifecta of bad economic policy and literally anyone with half a brain could have had the same economic recovery

amnesty and the debt could arguably destroy this country
We balanced the budget in '97. Have gone way beyond Reagan's spending. Where they went wrong on immigration wasn't amnesty. It was not building a serious wall and enforcing it. And that's just it. We had to have Reagan come along to correct bad economic policy. You think the Democrats in Congress were going to do it? And the Soviet Union would've lingered for decades without Reagan pushing it. And Yeltsin willing to stand up to the Politburo.

None of that makes him less responsible for what he did; the argument of "it could have been worse" doesn't absolve him of his :censored2:ty choices

Sorry, don't see it that way. Everything Reagan did domestically involved negotiating with a Democrat controlled Congress. Presidents aren't kings. The only president that was as good or better than him economically in the last 30+ years was Trump. Clinton's success was due to a Republican Congress he went along with and the dot.com bubble.

What is less often discussed is that he also used a lie to tap folks like you for donations to the tune of 250 million dollars.

It bears repeating: a quarter . . . of a billion . . . dollars.

You were told in relentless email solicitations that your money was needed to stop the so-called “left-wing mob” from stealing the election. Your donations, he claimed, would go to something called the Official Election Defense Fund. But as Trump officials now admit, no such fund ever existed. Your money went elsewhere, including to the “Trump Hotel Collection.”

"He is a con artist," Rubio said. "He runs on this idea he is fighting for the little guy, but he has spent his entire career sticking it to the little guy — his entire career."

Trust.

Lmao. It has been proven that the gop establishment was the one using his name. He had to have his lawyers tell them to stop. Do a little research..

Is that what Trump told you?
Show your research, you should have already done that to begin with.

Do you believe the election was stolen as well?
Is the Trump republican party more of a cult these days, that has no regards for facts?
Desantis would be the best thing that could ever happen to your party at this point, or would you continue to worship a person that would treat you like a piece of furniture in real life?
Look what he did to his vice president.
Trump is making you all less decent as people.

Good idea or bad idea?
Forget about the NRA owning your party for a moment, if this was your kid at that concert.

What you linked is not remotely related, you linked an article from march 2021. There has been no similar rebuttal as to what you mentioned since exposing Trumps fraud. If you would like to link something more recent feel free.
Trump issued a 12-page statement in response to the hearings. It did not address his fundraising practices.

Here's what you linked,
Trump's lawyers asked the Republican National Committee, the National Republican Congressional Committee and the National Republican Senatorial Committee to stop using the ex president's name and likeness in fundraising appeals and merchandise.
  • Since Trump left office in January, the organizations have repeatedly referenced him in emails seeking donations.

Here's what I linked,
The “Official Election Defense Fund”, as it was billed on fundraising emails that were repeatedly sent up until 30 minutes before the Capitol attack, did not formally exist.

Most of the money, went to entities that directly benefited Trump’s family and friends rather than “election-related litigation.”
Example,
Former President Donald Trump’s advisor Kimberly Guilfoyle—also the fiancée of his son, Donald Trump Jr.—was paid $60,000 for a brief speech at a Trump rally on the morning of January 6, 2021,

Among the outlays cited from Save America PAC were $1 million each to a pair of pro-Trump think tanks — the Conservative Partnership Institute and the America First Policy Institute — as well as more than $200,000 to the Trump Hotel Collection and $5 million to Event Strategies, the firm that helped put on the Jan. 6, 2021 ‘Stop The Steal’ rally that precipitated the Capitol riot.

The Red State Murder Problem

Takeaways

  • The rate of murders in the US has gone up at an alarming rate. But, despite a media narrative to the contrary, this is a problem that afflicts Republican-run cities and states as much or more than the Democratic bastions.
  • In 2020, per capita murder rates were 40% higher in states won by Donald Trump than those won by Joe Biden.
  • 8 of the 10 states with the highest murder rates in 2020 voted for the Republican presidential nominee in every election this century.
Now, for the rest of the story. In a report Third Way recently released, we found that murder was much more prevalent in red states than blue states. That’s right. In 2020, homicide rates were a stunning 40 percent higher in the 25 states that former President Donald Trump won compared to the 25 won by current President Joe Biden. Of the 10 states with the highest 2020 per capita murder rates in America, eight of them not only voted for Trump in 2016 and 2020, they voted Republican in every presidential election this century.

Their stats are based on "local news reports".
Lol

That's pretty questionable especially when it's a left wing think tank led by a former Clinton administration employee.

Apparently I have a fan, and the previous study linked was from fox news which would probably be considered pretty far right from center-right so whats your point?
Also Bill Clinton was one of the smartest presidents we've ever had, most historians would not dispute that so thats not really an insult.
They work from center left because conservatives have chosen to dumb down their politics to suit their base.

btw kanye you missed the 1st part of that paragraph.
"We collected 2019 and 2020 murder data from all 50 states. (Comprehensive 2021 data is not yet available.) We pulled the data from yearly crime reports released by state governments, specifically the Departments of Justice and Safety"
