  • Supreme Court justices are forming their ruling on a case that could result in an increase in the number of guns in public places
  • New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen will be the court's first major Second Amendment case in more than a decade
  • Deals with New York law that requires a permit to carry a gun and requires applicants to show 'proper cause' for the request
  • Conservative majority seemed poised to strike it down when oral arguments took place in November
  • Striking down NY law could have ripple effect on other states with similar laws

NY Governor Hochul Is already plotting ways to go around the laws she doesn't like and still ban guns.

Police said a woman who was lawfully carrying a pistol shot and killed a man who began shooting at a crowd of people Wednesday night in Charleston.

Total fiction.
According to the powers in DC , it didn't happen.

if heavily armed police with body armor are afraid of an 18 year old loser because he has an assault weapon
don't you think once again it's time to ban them?

Since the phrase "assualt weapon" is made up to scare people, just what items do you want to ban ?
Military or civilian marketed weapons are the only ones I know of.
Currently military weapons are mostly prohibited to own.
There are some exceptions; if you have a lot of money and time to wait for all the paperwork to clear.
We are talking years.
Last I heard , no mass shooters have used any military weapons for their deeds.

How is your knee? Been jerked really hard right?
It's so typical of the left, ban the AR-15. As IF this would do a damn thing. What a waste of conversation. Why are people not able to think things through instead of reacting with their emotions?

your argument is so impractical, and juvenile it hurts my head. If you point a BB gun at me, it’s an assault weapon. If you ball your fist up and swing at me, that’s also an assault weapon. When the left says “ban assault weapons” they really mean every weapon except for them. Because any weapon pointed or used against me is an assault weapon. Every reasonable study about any kind of weapons “ban” has concluded at best effect on violence was not even measurable. In other words it doesn’t matter.

TEXAS SEN. TED CRUZ: "Gun bans do not work. Look at Chicago. If they worked, Chicago wouldn’t be the murder hellhole that it has been for far too long.”

THE FACTS: Chicago hasn’t had a ban on handguns for over a decade. And in 2014, a federal judge overturned the city’s ban on gun shops. Big supporters of the NRA, like Cruz, may well know this, given that it was the NRA that sued Chicago over its old handgun ban and argued the case before the U.S. Supreme Court, which ruled the ban unconstitutional in 2010.
