Half Empty? NFL

I'm not butthurt, and the NFL certainly cares, why would they keep players in the clubhouse, locker room, or tunnel if they didn't?

Like I said, I don't give a rats ass if they decrease the potential revenue to the NFLPA, or NFL.

There are former players that I have loved and continue to love that made less in their entire career than some of these clowns make on one sunday and they couldn't carry their jocks.
See now, you were talking about business.

The business that the NFL is doing is just fine whether a bunch of Trump folks whine about it or not.

Which players? Probably none of them could even play in today’s NFL.

Dude, get into the 21st century already.
I am Sam, I loved my baseball childhood, fond memories.
If you read the preceding I spoke to the Yankees lack of pitching and how it will cost them in post season.

I will never forget my sports memories willingly.:thumbup1:

You won't either.

You still miss "maximized profit."
No, I understand it. But it’s obviously an issue the NFL prefers to ignore or they wouldn’t have settled with Kaepernick. So when their profits increase by $900 million, why get too bent out of shape trying to please a segment that proves time after time that they prefer to be pissed off?

Are you serious?

I don’t forget them, but the game has changed. Not all for the better, but that’s ok. As much as I liked linebackers like Singletary and Urlacher and Briggs, they aren’t what 2019 linebackers are.

I’m even looking forward to the end of billion dollar franchise QB’s and transitioning to system QB’s that don’t break the salary cap.

Either you aren't as old as you say you are or you didn't follow sports very closely.
Few players in the NFL and the Major Leagues didn't have to have jobs in the off season to make ends meet.

100% serious.

There are 300lb D linemen that run sub 5 second 40’s.

Think about that for a while.

The game is played by bigger, faster, stronger players coordinated better coached more precisely.

Don’t believe me? Go watch defensive back play from the eighties compared to today.

I love the past I lived Sam, just wished it was only a game again.
Those days are gone, I understand, I'd hate to be a little kid growing up in the current sports world.

It's just where I am.

Sports seasons don’t end anymore. An NFL player constantly trains. Major League players don’t have “off seasons”.

Understood, quarterbacks today are a no touch zone. Have you ever been clothes lined legally? I was a db, more than half of my tackles where the submarine type. I understand, it is a different game.

It’s just perspective. My kids all love sports. They don’t have previous generations to compare them to.

Honestly, I can’t even watch old games anymore. I like Barry Sanders highlights and Walter Payton highlights but it’s all just quaint now compared to Tyreek Hill, Patrick Mahomes and the other new players that show up every year.

I’m ready for Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Breeze, and Phillip Rivers to move on. It’s a young man’s game.

They certainly don't, I don't remember muscled up players in my time spending so much time on the (what was called in my day) disabled list.
Today in baseball it's called the IL, and rosters are littered with beach bodies that can't sustain a complete season. I wasn't aware I even had an oblique, google how many players have gone down this year with this injury.

Don't kid yourself, teams from the 70's could easily compete in today's game.

Montez Sweat

6’ 6”, 262 lbs. D lineman ran a 4.42 second 40

That’s faster than a lot of running backs and receivers.

Just sayin’

Not trying to convince you or change your mind, I just loved this player and I'm a lifelong Green Bay fan
