Just saying ...when I hear the National Anthem .... my direct thoughts r 2 the men and women that served r country ....from the revolutionary war 2 present day .... I meditate on those who died in those wars in order for us 2 live free today
While you're bloviating, I get an extra day off to smoke some weed.

And if there are those who in someway boycott the anthem to bring attention to social wrongs, it shouldn’t bother you because your attention is elsewhere.

Really guys? Read newfie’s posts. When patriotism comes up, suddenly all the questions of, “Where did you serve?” The implication being having not served means one is unpatriotic.

We’re in the nfl thread. Somehow it is construed that kneeling players are not only unpatriotic but insulting to vets.

That’s all a bunch of bull crap instigated by the president that they idolize. Kneeling players came long before Trump opened his hole on the matter and quite frankly, nobody really gave a damn.
That's not so. A lot of people were upset before Trump said anything. But hey any chance to slam Trump will be jumped on.

The thing is people don't want to be deal with the country's problems when watching sports. But not only did they interject those problems, they're basing their public stand on a false narrative about a young Black man who was supposedly on his knees, hands in the air, saying "Stop! Don't shoot!" but executed nevertheless by a White cop. Never happened but was used to tell White America how unjust and evil it is. And disrespected to many a sacred symbol when Colin Kaepernick started taking a knee. As I've pointed out before hundreds of thousands of White men have died fighting White supremacists both here and in Europe. It means something to their families and descendants.

Really.

Is it your assertion that being black in America is the same as being white in America where law enforcement is concerned?

How many Memorial Day events that honor the dead (not beer and BBQ) are you attending this weekend?

I have three on my calendar. How about you?
Jesus :censored2:ing Christ, you want a cookie snowflake? Come on an anonymous internet forum, claim to be a veteran and demand everyone whip it out to measure their patriotism. What a joke.

Let's do some math:
If I was born in 1952 that means in 1972 I was 20.
There was a war/conflict going on at that time.
Can you tell me where?

Considering you were still in liquid form, I'm guessing you can't.
