Helene aftermath

You don't have to say black. You have your dog whistles like every Trump supporter.
The vast majority of people stuck in New Orleans instead of being able to evacuate were poor blacks. That's just a fact. A lot went wrong there. As I recall the New Orleans mayor Ray Nagin got a lot of blame for not using the many buses they had available to evacuate people.

I'm sure the was plenty of blame to go around and hopefully lessons were learned from Katrina. But all the lies and misinformation coming from Trump supporters is only hurting those affected by Helene and not helping at all.

Four years of non transparency from the Biden administration, watching them slow walk disaster relief in East Palestine, Ohio and in Maui, while constantly lying to Congress about border security, and you're expecting MAGA supporters to not be skeptical? The better question is why do you trust this administration other than it being a Democratic one?

Imagine the lies being proven false and still perpetuating the lies for political gain. Smh.......
You mean like Nancy Pelosi saying Trump was being xenophobic about shutting down China air travel but later the Dems were saying he didn't shut it down soon enough?

I'll take the word of people on the ground over governors who are trying to not look ineffectual any day.

What are the lies and what is there to politically to gain in these areas. Most of these counties vote 75% republican except Asheville

Two of North Carolina's largest newspapers — The Charlotte Observer and The News & Observer — collaborated on an op-ed published Sunday, publicly condemning Donald Trump's response to Hurricane Helene, which has left over 200 people dead, and an "untold number of people missing".

Nobody in WNC gives a dang about what those papers have to say. Shut the heck up when you don’t live in the area or have a clue what you are talking about.

So their point being, if you have 20 straight White people on one road needing help and one LGBTQ+ person on another, FEMA should ignore the 20 and help the one? Because of equity, of course. Those people are insane.

Trump isn't president. Better start with the guy who has the power to order people into the area.
