Bottom line is that this is going to hurt our economy bid time. Our citizens for the most part ain't stupid, they still see where the federal money is going, this will be used as a political weapon by the Republicans much in the way old George Floyd did with the Democrats in the 2020 election, with the only exception of more lives being lost. This is not an overnight fix, it will take years before those affected will be made whole. Why in God's green earth did Harris even bring up (750 dollars), fact is she is not qualified for the position, either Vice President or President. Does DEI really affect our recovery efforts, it is possible but the real tale of this disaster will be who will benefit from the recovery, will it be the most capable, cheapest contractors out there or will automatic DEI directives take precedence. The private sector (Churches and Christian organizations) where the first ones out there, but that are not equipped to handle the massive storm damage now or soon to come. The storm victims and their families have seen who is in charge in Washington and are very suspicious of federal help after seeing the current administration thrown tons of money towards Ukraine and the illegal aliens. There is no leadership under Biden/Harris and the voters will make their decision in 3 weeks, these storms will probably put the Harris ticket in the trash can where it belongs no matter how well FEMA does, simply too big and the money is not there (already spent of overseas relief efforts). It is weird that most of the swing states will be affected, and for God's Sake it will not help if the Democrats start using "Global Warming as a excuse" or blaming Donald Trump.
