How long do I put up with being part time?

I keep very close watch on those pesky hours!

Be aware that the pension only pays on straight time hours. At least that's the way it is for FT'ers.
Occasionally I'll hear a FT'er say, "....oh but I work lots of OT so I got that pension credit.".

No, you don't.
It's only on straight time hours.
Look it up or ask a knowledgeable person.

Right now, at my center the wait time is about a week. New drivers as fast as they can train em.

Hi all, as you may know from my previous posts, I am looking into UPS to turn it into a career. In order for that to happen, I need to be full time. This leads me to yet another question: How long should I put up with being part time? I plan to work here when I turn 18 and graduate High School next year, and I dont want to be living at home for 10+ years after graduation waiting for full time. What kind of time frame do you recommend making for how long I continue to stay part time? Thanks!

Oh by the way...probably no vacations in December, long hours and mandatory overtime. For 30 plus years?
