Sunset, on the shortest day of the year. Its a temperature inversion, looking down on the top of the cold fog from 1200 feet above the valley floor.

Found my UPS turkey today. Waited for one to cross the road so I could smack it with the package car. They weren't cooperating. There is always next year.

It's always bittersweet to see long time co-workers go. I'm losing a few after this peak as well. Good luck to these dudes. Well done.

We had three people retire from my building in October. They were standing by the exit to our parking lot one day this week waving everyone off, with their Santa hats on and a "retiree reunion fund" sign and coffee can. It was funny to see and gave everyone a good laugh headed out on the road.

My tip consisted of overtime and not having to work the whole sort and the driver picked me up at my house everyday along with the occasional smoke break

I still have the last turkey I got from UPS in my freezer in the basement. I think for my retirement I am going to drop it frozen into the deep fryer and see what happens.
