I love this old house. Wish I could see the inside. It still has what look like the original lead glass windows on the front door and around it. Needs a lot of TLC though.

My biggest issue with it is it smells like it still has oil heat. Those houses look neat but maintenance would be a nightmare.

Nice Gomer! Are you in the Smokies?

Nice brotherArrived in Dublin earlier today. Went to Lough Crew cairn, dated about 3500BC, about a 15 min hike from the closest parking area. You have to grab a key from a local that watches the area's historical monuments. The key opens a iron gate that leads into the cairn. Was windy and pouring rain on the top of the hill where it was located so pictures were very limited.
Got to Cabra Castle and was upgraded to the Wishing Well suite, very beautiful hotel. Funny thing was, it was the exact same room number as our Goring room number. We bought a bed/breakfast/dinner combo, dinner was great. Heading to Belfast tomorrow morning to see some museums and the Titanic dry dock/museum.

Here's one for you. Didn't post much while in Edinburgh. We had a full day of sight seeing the major tourist spots, second day was drinking day. Stopped by this bar, Worlds End, started talking to some locals for a few hours. They suggested some nice beers, one in particular I enjoyed was called Brewdog.Nice brother
That's Scotland. Haven't hit up the local pubs yet in Ireland. Just flew in from Edinburgh today, we're going to circle around for a week in Ireland, hitting tourist spots and hole in the wall pubs along the way.Alcohol in Ireland.
Who'da guessed?
Do NOT kiss the Blarney Stone no matter what the locals might tell you. They pee on it.That's Scotland. Haven't hit up the local pubs yet in Ireland. Just flew in from Edinburgh today, we're going to circle around for a week in Ireland, hitting tourist spots and hole in the wall pubs along the way.
Is that Bluemont? That was on the shortlist for our wedding venues but we opted against going into debt...View attachment 156797
This is the most beautiful winery on my route. Million dollar view! There is a wedding going on there right now.

Hit up a Scotch whisky (no e in scotch whisky) tour that had the worlds largest Scotch Collection. Was very well done, and what's better is the tour had tastings afterwards, at the bar on top, with some amazing views of Edinburgh.
