i read through 2 articles and while he mentions what i said he doesnt go into it.

probably because unions dont encourage strikes, im not sure what else. unions arent pushing for worker laws either.

Well he would be mistaken on all points. Why would unions push for strikes? That’s not their role. You do understand they are supposed to listen to their membership? And if they’re getting their demands met fairly, why would they strike?

whos to say demands are being met fairly?

i read one article on UPS website and it said wages are way down since the 1970s adj for inflation

i was going to work for a local ferry operator and wages are also down adjusted for inflation by 50% or something.

unions would push for strikes if they want to get a better deal

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.
He’s an odd character because sometimes I agree with him, but I think he thinks he’s smarter than he is.

Watched the video it’s your typical faculty lounge, nonsense where they say “democracy” when they mean Socialism and communism didn’t work because it wasn’t tried properly because they have no examples where it ever worked.
talking about sheldon wolin?

used to be america's greatest living political philosopher

Chris tries to be all things to all people especially the anti-capitalist while being completely capitalist himself and a millionaire kind of funny. Really can’t be mad at him. He’s a really good capitalist parading to sheep as something else.
hedges seems to be on the fence about capitalism because i saw him in a recent cspan interview and he is in favor of a highly regulated capitalism, but on the other hand hes done tons of anti capitalist worker run stuff

I wasn’t talking about Sheldon. I was talking about Chris.

Sheldon is just your typical faculty lounge professor who never did anything in life, except theorize and teach never had to actually put his plan in motion.

Of course he’s on the fence. It’s made him amazing fabulously, wealthy.
