i got an idea for this debt ridden late capitalist deindustrialized economy.

so as a woman you make videos of you going over to guys house who are cheating on their gfs and do them. if you can record the sex you can make more money. and then after the sex, you stay there and record yourself hiding while the gf comes home, and then record the escape.

You may be onto something. Or on something.

with american life expectancy falling to 76 years, do not hold your breath that the government will lower the age for social security by an equivalent amount

76? How long do you want to live? If that’s the median age, some people are living into their 80s but much past that sounds like nursing home time, and I would rather not be here for that. Shouldn't just be a number should be quality of life that matters.

point is theyve been using rising life expectancy as an excuse to increase retirement age, well now its falling and im sure we will only hear crickets

50% of people living paycheck to paycheck

and then there was a 33% of people number which was bad. so somewhere between 33 and 50% of people are suffering. and things are all downhill from here if we maintain capitalism

Sure and most of those 50% have six TVs two car payments, brand new, smart phones on payments, our subscribe to Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, or servicing, 40+ thousand dollars worth of college debt, etc. etc. most of them deserve their situation.

did they deserve college debt because govt doesnt fund it anymore, broken housing market partly because govt doesnt build housing anymore, and 35 years of flat wages? i dont think so

i understand people likely didnt plan for rising interest rates.

did they deserve car prices almost doubling since late 2019?

You don’t have to go to college at a four year college and spend $20,000 a year or more. And people like you to wait around for the government to give them things and then when you get them, you don’t even use them hint your college education. You are a poor investment for your government. It’s unfortunate The people of Canada had to pay for it.

To be fair most people don't go to college and often have to settle for whatever they can find work wise. If a couple's combined income is less than $50k and they have a kid or two they aren't exactly living it up.

To be fair life is hard, and always has been. While many of my friends lived it up in a four-year college with college loans I worked my way through school and paid it off as I went.
Turns out I didn’t need the education but I’m glad I did it and I’m glad I paid for it. The current generation is very poor at saving money because they think they have to have things. Most debt is a choice and if you don’t have a way to pay it off quickly or if it isn’t going to make you money you should stay away.

I agree with you to a certain extent but there are tens of millions of people who aren't educated and have limited options in the areas they live in. My view when I was young was to move away from such an area, join the military, get on with a company that pays. In the end I know people who stayed on in my home town, built a life, had kids, were never prosperous financially, but were happy. They didn't need to try to do more, were content with what they had, and had a good life anyways. I on the other hand put my eggs in the FedEx basket instead of staying in the Air Force, and bounced around without much to show for it. What I can say is those friends who don't have a lot beyond a basic house that's paid for are facing retirement with just Social Security. And it won't get any easier for them.

100% money does not make you happy. It can make some things easier, but also can complicate just as much.

the government wants 1 year of min 20 hours a week service in exchange for what they gave me. if i quit early then i repay back the portion of that year i did not do. but the deal is so good that you think i am scamming them lol.

yea you probably do have to go to college. its a desperate gamble north americans - they borrow money to go to college in the hopes the career they get after will make the investment worthwhile.

why is life hard lol?

debt is not a choice. debt is something that always grows faster than an economy's ability to repay it. debt is created by the banks. consumer's debts are banks assets.

No, I think it was a terrible deal because you did absolutely nothing with it just like you’ve done with the rest of your life. You talk about Socialism being great, but it has nothing nothing for you. Matter fact, you want to move to Europe and you’re paralyzed stuck where you are because you have nothing and can’t even manage to get there to live you’re supposed to dream don’t you think that’s sad?
