They didn't change shoes. They shifted the blame to the Republican Party because they knew they would never win an election without lying to blacks and convincing them that the very party that freed them were the racists. Look at it this way.....there is legislative proof that democrats were responsible for all of this nations racism. There is no proof that the republican party ever acted in such a manner. I saw a bumper sticker recently that said "Democrats: Caring For Blacks Since 1964" And that about sums it all up.

No, the KKK did not switch from the Democrats to the Republicans.
They were the Democratic SLAVE HOLDERS who lost the civil war and began the KKK and enacted the Jim Crow laws and fought against civil rights for the African Americans.
The KKK still exist to this day and they are made up of mostly Democrats.

Limiting voting by implementing Voter ID laws that hit the elderly and minorities the hardest, making racist remarks using code words, claiming that all welfare recipients are black when there are more white ones. Scalise is speaking words that are not true. Just look at the disrespect his party has shown the President.To the GOP, minorities are the people who put up the "big tent", and who serve them h'ors d'oeuvres while dressed in nice white jackets.

Then we should eliminate all voting by mail and absentee voting as well. I mean if an elderly person can't make it to the polls to show an id or someone in the military serving away from home shouldn't be able to vote either. Right?

I honestly think that the Democrats are still acting as slave owners. Keeping most African Americans in government imposed poverty but dependent on that same government for food, housing and money all in exchange for...............VOTES.
And the American ghettos, where most impoverished African Americans live, vote over whelmingly for Democrats. They know that the Democrats keep that free money coming.
