A strike now would last a day at UPS. So much crying about Amazon. They won't risk it. I got a better idea, give us what we are owed. And the closer UPS gets to locking out the Union members after a strike.
How many proud Teamsters will cross the line when UPS offers a permanent non-Union job at current rates and compensation and all others are fired?
Make sure you don't push UPS too far in 2018!
Part-timers in school getting school reimbursement will report to work as normal.
UPSmageddon ... next year could be a great year to watch from the safety of the keyboard.

No less.Let me get this straight-----we are the highest paid in the industry with an excellent benefit package for a job that requires only a valid drivers license----what exactly do you feel the company "owes" you?
So, as I expected, you care nothing for your Union brothers who happen to be Part-time.
It's corporate who agrees to compensate pt'ers at the rate they do. They're free to offer the sky if they wish. And, now that they've begun to strangle the mgmt pension fund, and on their brethren, it would free up the cash for just such an event. If only they truly cared. Greedy, greedy UPS.
It owes me financially of what is expected of me. No less.Let me get this straight-----we are the highest paid in the industry with an excellent benefit package for a job that requires only a valid drivers license----what exactly do you feel the company "owes" you?
It owes me financially of what is expected of me. No less.
Just because you're retiring soon and for the past 30 years chose to open your bum to management to freely pound out whatever is left of that scrawny butt, doesn't mean we have to accept what you are willing to take. And sometimes cash isn't the answer. Highest paid? Maybe. Easiest job? HELL TO THE NO!!Let me get this straight-----we are the highest paid in the industry with an excellent benefit package for a job that requires only a valid drivers license----what exactly do you feel the company "owes" you?
Actually I think they do. And 300,000 people (minus you) feel the same. How long do you think it would take UPS to hire and train that many employees? Much easier to give me what is owed.Have you ever had a paycheck bounce or had a medical claim denied due to lack of funds?
The Company has always held up their end of the bargain and does not "owe" you anything.

Funny you said that. That casino has had teamster jobs for years. Wanna try again? Like I said, don't get mad at me because you're willing to accept anything. What exactly do you feel they owe you?
Tell you what---take the day off, drive up to the casino in Lincoln, ask if they have any openings and, if they do, ask them if they would be willing to offer a similar wage and benefit package.
I'll save you a trip---you would still hear them laughing as you get in your car and drive back to Warwick.
Yes, we work hard, but we are well compensated and are owed nothing.

What exactly do you feel they owe you?
Raises that, for the very least, EQUALS inflation. Plain and simple enough for even you to understand Dave!
Hey bubblesGood talk.
I hope everyone feels better.
Where are you getting your info? It's been there for decades. Gaming tables have been there less than 5 years. The name changed from Lincoln park to Twin River Casino. And although the pay is not what drivers make, it dwarfs UPS's 22.3 scale and pays a way better part time wage. Keep trying! The casino has been there for less than 5 years.
You mean your IBT negotiated wage? What do you think UPS would give you? Ya know, since they are so kind and thoughtful to their employees. Those of us who plan accordingly put their raises in to their 401k's.
