Just curious. Then you know how it works.
Oh yeah, I know how it works. I know all the players and interworking. I know the people up close and personal and have a unique understanding of the issues and how things really work. Lets just say I can poke holes in quite a few of the teamsters.

I hope they put someone from 705 on the slate we love our local leadership of course it's not perfect but we are definitely a strong union. Last national election I'm not sure where they stood but if one of our own was on slate then I guarantee that 705 put up big numbers against the establishment candidate

Starting wage is a waste of time.

Your local put up 2659 votes for TU as opposed to Hoffa at 765. I’d say they support the opposition.

Our members do but nobody from our administration was in front of the buildings. They probably walking the fence if they did openly support TU we could have gotten to 6000 votes easy.

Only 20% vote if that. You would have the same number total but more for TU

A high voter turnout is 25-30% Having a candidate typically helps increase turnout. I thought Chicago had 3 candidates on the TU slate? But not officers, right?
You may know better than I. But in this weeks news, I’d say Sean scoops a massive majority in East, Z’s grows in the central and even if (which I doubt) the west and Canada remains the same, you’ll be looking at new IBT leadership.

Um.... Ok.

Why do you think, you have that ability ?

Moreover.... why would you attempt to disgrace our Local Union officials ?

Do you have a Law Degree ? Maybe you took some classes....

Help me understand.

For the same reason you think you have the ability of course. Just like you think YOU are a Big Union Guy, I obviously feel like I'm got something to share, but without the cool screenname, of course. As far as education, there is no reason to go over my resume with you, if you aren't going to do the same. Think about this. You have never offered up any credentials. You already lumped me in with the TDU crowd.

There isn't a lot of good jewelry in this store, so I stand out, but I'm not worth much.
Do you think that wasn't demeaning?
Some people that post here, although crippled in knowledge by their local "Big Union Guy(s)", regardless of what you think their "worth" is, the fact that they actually care about the members is worth a lot even if they aren't big union guys in their position.

Which person is really "good jewelry"?

And if you aren't "worth much" what is the bad jewelry worth?

Enlightening.

@wide load says many have been disgraced by the nlrb responding to their actions.

If that's what @Wideload has experienced, I have no reason not to believe him.

If true, why do they disgrace us and the union by the garbage they pull?

Obviously, you have had different experiences.

You mentioned something about being rebuked by the NLRB, for filing charges against

the Local or it's officials. Short of having irrefutable proof of mis-representation.... that's

going to be a tuff nut to crack with them. Individuals filing against the company usually are

dismissed, as the Local should be filing the charges on behalf of all the members.

An individual filing against the company does one thing;

It raises the company's awareness to "problem" management people.

The problem being....

It just cost them money, to pay their attorneys to respond to the charge.

The nlrb didnt rebuke us. They (2 different attorneys at different times) told us that the union reps are elected and so they have control of the grievance resolutions unless there's blatant ftr issues. They filed the charges for us but of course, like they said, they went no where.

The company labor manager got charges filed on him by the steward and the charges were proceeding until the labor mgr went to the steward and apologized.

The steward gave him a bite of the apple as they like to say to us. He got one chance to change his behavior and all along, pathetically, the BA allowed the labor mgr to ridicule and verbally abuse the steward in hearings until the steward said "enough" and filed charges on his own but thru the local against the company. The BA told the steward before that he had no right to file thru the local (the ba nullified another steward's valid charges already) so this steward told the ba that he was going to file on the ba if he nullified the charges against the labor mgr.

Then the BA got charges filed on him by 4 members because he wouldn't hear their 9 month old grievances. One members grievances were 3 yrs old! The labor board atty said they had to drop their charges when the BA finally set up and had the hearings.

That's how this goes. The ba and labor mgr are buddies and they're both corrupt.

If I told you all the garbage that's gone on in this local you would understand the hate for this ba and the distrust of his cronies throughout the state.
