Maps are back.

Once you have area knowledge you don't need maps or navigation. Of course I need to scan/take pictures/stop complete/cir.

The diad never goes into the cradle. Orion can only update in the cradle
I would sometimes get stops in an area that has schools and commercial stops. If I followed trace I would get there after everybody went home. I would use maps to see if I had those stops. It's a lot faster than going through my load or scrolling through my manifest.

Okay transfer to a different building. No you don’t get a map book and no you can’t use your phone.
When I first started, I carried a map book every day. I sucked at using maps made me super slow and by the time I figured out where the hell I was, I didn’t need them anymore. The first day on route without any knowledge sucked . The second day it got better the third day it was a lot easier and by the end of of the week you knew that route. Probably. Learned 30 routes that way.

Call me a sucker but when I was in my packet I would study the areas maps and even took the kids for a couple "cruises" to scout the area, and even walked around some of the denser residential areas to find those tricky "street # is on Elm but deliver off 6th" type stops. Really helped me out.

Yep, in the old days going out and driving around on a day off on a route you were going to do the next week was a thing.

Wow I only know 1 route. And I don’t suck at anything.

I’m on ORION with few exceptions. I break grace to avoid late/missed pieces. And to avoid dangerous situations. “Maps” makes that so much simpler. I love days when I don’t have to break trace at all. It’s a think-less job on those days

I'm so confused. Map or no map, what are the problem?
I hear you get paid top dollar to figure that out. Maybe you should go out and use the completely broken current system. It is completely broken, and the AI is making it worse. Absolutely hilarious that is not seen above operation level.

I say go back to RDO (EDD) but keep the navigation for the youngsters who tend to need a little extra help out there.
