Currently, there are movements to BOYCOTT all companies who lay off employees.. PAPA JOHNS is first on the list as people are banding together to boycott the pizza chain. Papa John himself said he would have to add 11 cents to each pizza to provide insurance to his employees, but he wont do that and instead will cut hours to avoid having to qualify for insurance for his employees, but he will participate in giving away 2 million pizzas for FREE as a promotion.

Keep an eye out for the boycott movement.

The power to control these companies rests with the people that purchase the products. With the power of the social media, organization is easily assembled and look for a impact by next year.

As for the companies TEXAN is listing, these companies have been failing for a long time and has nothing to do with obama. Xerox is losing market share to the japanese, panasonic is no longer a viable market contender since the Koreans entered the market.

These are no surprise, but its merely convenient to post them to fit the narrative that the right wing wants to sell.

I say, move on with your lives, get out of the political arena for 4more years, then come back and start over.

Peace

So that means you would be prepared to do without everything when ALL companies that exist have layoffs? Good luck with that plan!

Protest layoffs by encouraging additional layoffs. Additional proof the extreme leftists hate the poor and middle class.

More Layoffs Announced, Including 500 At NBC, Citibank, And One Huge Obama Donor’s Medical Company

In a round of year-end belt tightening, NBCUniversal is cutting about 500 employees, or about
1.5% of its total workforce. The cuts are distributed throughout the media company, which boasts
nearly 30,000 employees, according to a person close to the situation who asked not to be
identified discussing the sensitive topic.

One of the biggest medical device manufacturers in the world, Stryker will close their facility in
Orchard Park, New York, eliminating 96 jobs in December.

Worse, they plan on countering the medical device tax in Obamacare by slashing 5% of their
global workforce - an estimated 1,170 positions.

For the record, Breitbart is reporting that Jon Stryker (heir to the Stryker fortune) has strong ties
to the Obama Campaign.
His massive donations put him among the biggest donors to the President and the Democrats:

Stocks close lower after weak retail reports, more jobless claims

Posted:

Friday November 16, 2012

NEW YORK (AP) -- Stock indexes closed lower Thursday, a third straight decline, after U.S. retailers issued
weak forecasts for earnings and more people filed claims for unemployment benefits.

Wal-Mart, Ross Stores and Limited Brands, the owner of Victoria’s Secret, all fell after issuing forecasts
that disappointed financial analysts. Wal-Mart fell $2.59, or 3.6 percent, to $68.72.

The Dow Jones industrial average wavered between small gains and losses shortly after the opening bell, then
moved lower at midmorning. It closed down 28.57 points at 12,542.38.

The Standard & Poor’s 500 index dropped 2.16 points to 1,353.33 and the Nasdaq composite finished 9.87
points lower at 2,836.94.
Stocks have fallen steadily since voters returned President Barack Obama and a divided Congress to power.
The Dow has lost 5 percent from Election Day, Nov. 6.

California: Number of College Grads Working As Waiters Doubles
In California, it’s long been the joke that prospective actresses come to the state to become waitresses.
Now, thanks to the Democrat-created economy, so do college graduates. The newest census shows that between 2006 and 2011, the number of college graduates working as waiters doubled.
Approximately 260,000 California college graduates below the age of 30 worked in low-level menial jobs in 2011, an increase of 60,000 over 2006. The six most common menial jobs, according to the Sacramento Bee:

  • Retail salespeople;
  • Secretaries;
  • Retail sales supervisors;
  • Customer sales reps;
  • Waiters and waitresses;
  • Cashiers.

Welcome to the Golden State, where all your dreams of working at McDonald’s can come true.

Medical giant Stryker cuts 1,170 jobs, citing ObamaCare

Medical supply giant Stryker is the latest company to announce job cuts in anticipation of coming costs
associated with ObamaCare, even though the man who inherited a fortune from the company's
founder is a fan.

The company will cut 1,170 jobs, or five percent of its worldwide workforce, despite the fact that the
founder's grandson was one of the largest contributors to President Obama’s re-election campaign.

Medical tech scion Jon Stryker, whose net worth is currently estimated at $1.2 billion, contributed
$2 million to the Priorities USA Action super PAC and has given $66,000 in contributions to Obama
and the Democratic Party.

Stryker does not run the company.

A "medical device excise tax" included in the mandate imposes a 2.3 percent levy on medical device
manufacturers and suppliers, which critics say will raise prices on everything from pacemakers to
prosthetics to stents. Companies will be required to pay the tax regardless if they have a profit
or loss for the year.

The tax is estimated to cost the medical device industry $20 billion.

Orlando Health cutting at least 320 jobs

ORLANDO -- Several hundred local health care jobs are going away.
Orlando Health, the owner of several Central Florida hospitals, announced today it is eliminating
320 to 480 positions.

It owns nine hospitals, including Orlando Regional Medical Center, Arnold Palmer Hospital, Dr. Phillips
and South Lake Hospital.

The cuts include a combination of layoffs, closing unfilled positions and consolidations.

A spokesperson for the company said the cuts are one part of a plan to cut down on costs, without impacting
patient care. Other cuts include eliminating selected programs, delaying capital spending
and streamlining other costs.

Another phase of cost-cutting is expected by Orlando Health after the first of the year, which
could also eliminate jobs.

Cliffs cutting iron production, affecting 625 jobs

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — About 625 people will be laid off when Cliffs Natural Resources idles a Michigan
mine and cuts production at a Minnesota operation due to declining demand for iron ore, the company
announced Monday.

Two of the four production lines at Northshore Mining's taconite plant in Silver Bay will shut down
effective Jan. 5, resulting in 125 layoffs, said Cliffs' Minnesota spokeswoman Sandy Karnowski.

GE Healthcare to Eliminate 2 Percent of Jobs in Wisconsin or 130 people

GE Healthcare said Friday it is cutting 2 percent of its jobs in Wisconsin, where it has 6,500
employees, and 10 percent of its workforce in Vermont, where it employs about 500 people.

The Waukesha-based medical equipment manufacturer said it needs to make "tough decisions
in the current economic climate" and was looking for ways to streamline its operations
and lower costs.

"This will reduce complexity, speed up decision making and help us become more
accessible to our customers," said GE spokesman Benjamin Fox.

"It also addresses the continued economic challenges in Europe and the U.S., and it will
position GE Healthcare well for 2013 and beyond," he said.

Based on the 2 percent estimate, about 130 people could lose their jobs in Wisconsin -- including
employees in the Milwaukee area where GE has its U.S. headquarters and product lines including
computed tomography, nuclear medicine and magnetic resonance imaging.
