Anyone had knee replacement before?
Doc says I have no cartilage in either knee ... bone on bone.

Got a cortisone shot today ... first time in many years my knees don't hurt.
Getting rooster shots in about 3 months and then knee replacement in early 2018.

I enjoyed my 40+ years playing competitive tennis but now it's time to pay.

I haven't had the replacements, just arthroscopy on both. My dad had the replacements. From what I've seen read and heard, the rehab is tough! Dr recommended doing both at once, with the reasoning; you probably won't come back and do the other. My dad says it is great to have the pain gone after all those years. He feels it was totally worth it. Good luck!

Regenexx Advanced Stem Cell Procedures Look into Stem cell treatment first. It will cost $10,000 out of pocket as our insurance does not cover this treatment yet.
However Last month the FDA began the approval process to consider this a valid insurable treatment. Stem Cell therapy most likely will be covered under workman's Comp in 3 years.
