I've been fighting a bad knee for a year and 2 months now. I have 3 different knee braces, been to 3 different doctors (one was a specialist), had it x-rayed twice and all I ever get is "there isn't anything wrong with it--put ice on it and take Asprin or Aleve. God I hate the medical industry.
That's the next step.
Cortisone helps tremendously.
I figured the longer I wait, the better the techniques and technology will get.
Probably next January/February.
Too many festivals in the fall.
Had a Meniscectomy that almost killed me a few years back. Dr gave me a brochure on an injection that was like a foam in the joint. Don't know what it was called.
Not trying to minimize any pain from knee injuries, mine hurt at times too. I think it's a given if you retire as a driver or played competitive sports, but don't count on cortisone long term. The medicine is worse than the disease in some ways.Cortisone shots - Risks
