I believe the shares were A and if you sold they changed in to B shares. I dont believe there was any monetary difference in them. The only difference was A had 10 voting shares and B one. You are probably right..it was used as a leveraging tool. They sure didn’t do it out of kindness, suddenly they felt guilty by leaving their “help” out.

Company has known for more than a year now what was coming and things would be different this time around. They were told 8/1 things MUST BE IN PLACE. So that means a solid contract needed to be put together by today so it can have ample time to be constructed and presented to membership for vote PRIOR to deadline.
UPS evidently jerked around too long (no surprise) and so this is where we are and what it's come to.
I personally don't want anymore extensions granted and working under one to give them more time to think it over, now we give them all they can handle. And screw the retro check game....that's all silly BS and like a "forced savings". You are not getting anything extra that you didn't earn and work for.

You are not suppose to have a livable wage doing part time hours.I worked 2 jobs for 9 years to support my family until I went full time. I guess it depends what they are after.. I looked at a part time job as school.. part time was highschool. Driving 4 years was college and top out was masters basically.. I also had a family so insurance was more important than what I was making an hour.. maybe they want a raise and don’t care about insurance idk. But even at 20/hr with the benefits they will receive plus the chance to go full time should be enough for most. But people want to get stuff without nothing. I see it everyday all these young drivers are getting fired for stupid things bc they don’t care about their job. And I don’t think they care bc they didn’t put in their times like we did. In my hub you had to work 7+ years to go full time. And once you made it you made sure you did everything right because you appreciated the hell out of the job.Well, it has to be enough to get them to come into the door. In this day and age of “leakers” it’s disappointing we don’t have one from in the negotiations, management or union.
