Loader and Driver helper?

I got a question I am a belt sorter on reload I go in at 5pm now up until December. In December I will go in around 2pm. Would I still be able to do driver helper? I want to do driver helper Ive been with ups 8 years inside and never done it. I want some experience on what its like to be a driver because my opportunity is very close. I want to succeed on my first try.

A start time of 2pm means you would have to be off-road by 1pm. We start around 9 so I'm sure you can do the math.
