Local 804 Drivers Walked Out

Yesterday a number of local804 members were put on a 72hrs discharge for violating article 18.
The company didn't put everyone who walked out on a 72 at the same time. The company is planning to do this by stages.
At the end of the day 200+ members jobs will be loss as a direct result of local804 executive board misjudgment! That number of members represent about 8% of the total amount of full time jobs local804 have.
All of this is happening while local804 executive board is in Florida. Stay tuned for more updates.

The question is how long can they drag this out if you violated the contract as they claim before they put you on notice.

No, the black eye is from UPS firing drivers with out cause and the international doing nothing to stop it. That is a hostile work enviroment if you ask me. Never knowing if the least little thing will get you fired, even with 20 plus years of service.
See...... I knew it wouldn't take them long to blame the IBT for the TDU Local mistake. I should have played the lottery today

The guy that created the pet rock made over 1 million dollars, and it was just rocks. There is nothing democratic about TDU. Is this the conference where they go over the very secret financial reports? If TDU stood for what they claim, they would adhere to the same standards that the real union (Teamsters) does. Until they hold elections (not talking about "Steering Committee") and report an LM2, they will be just a union hypocrisy. I'd rather play golf and a circle jerk over TDUs naked leap from any day.



Every excuse I ever heard made perfect sense to the person who made it.

How's that 250,000 in savings going at your local?

The whole board is not in florida. The VP. and a BA was in the building as the disciplines were being handed out.

Im I understanding corret that the BA told the drivers to walk off job? and now hes still employeed and they are recieving term letters? or do I have this all wrong?

And UPS gets to train the vacation coverage drivers for $11.00 less an hour.
How many drivers are being put on notice of discharge for the strike?

They have a time limit to fire the drivers. All the terminations should be handled as one, since once precedence is set all the others should follow suit.

there not waiting on firing them THEY ARE FIRED but there working through it to give UPS time to reup on replacements

Is it me! Or does it sound like the union stands behind Liam actions there where first seeming to be rogue!! First paper I'm signing will be for executive board to be removed from office
