I think you have to redeem in state you bought ticket and pay those taxes.Serious question. If whoever wins lives in a state that has a huge state income tax can they legally move to a state that has no state income tax before claiming the prize? You have a year to claim it. Not paying any state income tax would save you millions (at least here it would). I need to know the answer before 9:59 tonight.

What about those who do bot have lotteries and cross state line to pick up ticket?I checked the official rules and all it says is you must claim your prize in the state you are a resident in. Nothing about where the ticket was purchased. Hello Florida or Texas----here I come.
