Maybe now is the right time to organize

Doesn't matter if some things have improved, the ACA has made health insurance costs a real burden for much of the population, and they will still be close to bankruptcy if anything catastrophic happens. That wasn't the case for most who got their insurance through work before the ACA was passed.
If you earn less than about $50k as a single person, your costs for medical care are strictly limited under the ACA, and for a family of 4, the number is about $100k. Just facts that clearly you do not want to believe, and if you grudgingly admit it, they you make some other dumb claim. Have you at least moved on from the claim that your coverage was BETTER before the ACA, diregarding your perceived higher cost??????? Or are you still clinging to the claim that your pre-ACA claim coverage was better??????? Under the ACA you have no coverage limit, while every pre-ACA plan had both annual and lifetime caps. Can you really claim that a plan with strict caps is better than an unlimited plan?????? That would take complete idiocy.

Look, I don't want to insult you anymore. Maybe your ignorance isn't your fault.

California has been running a SURPLUS under democrat leadership after REPUBLICANS ran it into the ground. At least get your easily checkable claims verified before making nonsensical claims. This year, with covid, MOST states are running deficits. The democrat governor of California is trying to shore up the pension plans using the surplus, and is improving the situation. You may be ignorant of this fact, along with all the other ignorance you possess, but California was run bt REPUBLICANS from 1999-2011 and it took a few years to turn the state around. The only people leaving California are the losers who couldn't make it here.. Real estate prices are high because so many people WANT to live here. Have you EVER heard of supply and demand???? No one wants to live in flyover country, so prices are low. That does not make it a good thing. I could get you some deep swamp land, mosquito infested and all, reall cheap in a lot of red states. Does that make it desirable to the red crowd?????? Maybe just different tastes. Some people enjoy the smell of rotting wetlands and cowmanure I am sure in their red states, and that's fine if that is what they want. Not for everyone, And since 1968, we have had REPUBLICAN presidents 32 out of 52 years, while republicans claim that those same years when they were in charge most of the time is when the country has declined. Does it blow your mind that the economy grew faster all those years under democrat rule, or do you refuse to believe in that fact????????
It's your Democrat governor and mayors who are allowing tent cities with needles and feces everywhere in San Francisco and Los Angeles. It's your Democrat mayors who've controlled your biggest cities who are ruining your quality of life to now you are having more leave than are coming in. It's your Democrat policies that protect criminal aliens from being turned over to ICE. Face it, y'all are nuts. And you obviously don't know anything about the quality of life in red states. Enjoy your sinking ship. But don't come to red states when it does, we don't like your kind.

This kind of math is why the whole thing will collapse under its own weight. You can't have unlimited lifetime coverage without jacking rates, both premiums and deductibles, for everyone. Insurance now costs a lot more. This is the Catch-22 of it all. You've now taken away expendable income from everyone. This plus the higher taxes Democrats want to implement puts an anchor on the economy. You can't spend what the government has already taken. Money that will benefit a small group more than the rest. Throw in what Dems want to spend on the Green New Deal and everyone will be working for the government. We already saw stagnation under Obama and a thriving economy under Trump before Covid hit. More of the same, only worsening as government increases its grip under Biden. Good luck!

Wouldn’t it be nice if the states weren’t told what to do by the feds all the time? Then we wouldn’t have to agree. The red states could do all their red stuff and the blue states could do all their blue stuff and we could live in the state we like the most. (Fedex lets you transfer 😁) Then we could work together for just a few things like national defense.....

So why are you worried about insurance costs ? You leaving the states again. You Republicans are always fighting tooth and nail against any social program legislation that is proposed but on rare occasion when we do manage to get something through overcoming bitter GOP opposition you reps are always there to sign up for it and then grudgingly admit that it's a good deal or at least admit that they couldn't come up with anything better themselves as we now see with "repeal and replace".

Your previous posts clearly spoke to the security that Medicare offers you if in the event your future off shore plans don't work out. But let's suppose for a moment that we couldn't get it passed, that Bob Dole did succeed in his efforts to get the bill back into committee and kill it. What would you then?

Yes, the ACA is complicated and requires study and learning it's terms, definitions and options. There were in fact specialists and qualified advisors readily available to help individuals navigate the system. Well, there was at one time until your Dear Leader cut funding for it 41%

Nobody gives an rodent's expletive deleted about what you think about the ACA because the numbers speak to the contrary. It has the approval of the majority of Americans and did it's job by serving as a lifeline to Americans who lost their jobs and coverage.

Now if the ACA is overturned and the pre existing conditions rule goes right out the window with it and given you're a diabetic you could be denied coverage for that condition along with any other preexisting condition which explains why big insurance wants the ACA overturned so they can keep people like you feces out of luck You're just the kind of person they have in mind. And even if you are able to make it to Medicare it only pays about 80% of the claims at best which means that with the preexisting conditions rule gone you might not be able to purchase a Medicare Supplement or Medicare Advantage plan to help pickup what Medicare won't pay.

I guess that you might have to worry about a Dems tax increase given that any increase in personal income taxes starts for those making above $400,000 a year. So that's going to hit you hard. But, that's the GOP's campaign line this year..... "Be afraid....Be very afraid".

And I will just have to deal with it. You can throw out red herrings all you want, your side made things a good deal more difficult financially for the majority of Americans. And I won't be putting the strain on the system you will. How dare you!

To pay what the Dems want will require soaking the Middle Class. Typical, lying to get what you want.

If he needs the ACA he'll finally take the time to learn how it works. If he finds himself there chances are he'll discover that he's there for the very same reason everyone else is.....It's their sole remaining option. And if SCOTUS overturns the ACA he's going to see hospitals closing up so fast it will make his head spin because one of the drivers behind the ACA was to at least slow the rate in hospital downsizings and or closings and to address personal bankruptcies due to medical bills .

Let the red states go. let it's residents renounce their citizenship. Then they can start their own banking system with their own currency that they can try to trade on the international exchanges Form their own constitution, their own military, their own diplomatic treaties and embassies . get other nations to recognize them as sovereign nations. Their OWN healthcare network. Their own labor laws and given that we're talking red states here it might just legalize slavery again. The blue states are tired of being "donor" states sending more to DC than what it gets back while many red states for years have been getting more than what they pay in.

Or we could say on some domestic issues it’s okay for you to do your thing and us to do our thing. Nobody has to be renouncing their citizenship and stuff.

You make this easy. You want to just let people die because they exceed the annual cap. That says all anyone needs to know about you.

Like, red states could get to have slaves again, and poor people can die from lack of health care when they can't afford to move their family.

Prior to ACA there was indeed lifetime claims caps on many private health insurance plans Quite common with BC/BS licensees . So this was often the case whereby people exceeded the caps just about the time they needed coverage the most.

Let red states go, fine but no blue state residents can move to red state and screw it up like they will in Texas and already working on Colorado.thye move to get away from liberal policies and then try to do the same where they move. How dumb can people be. Before the ACA if I went to hospital I paid 100 bucks under FedEx plan, lastvyr I had to go emergencybroom and Bill was 17k ,my share was 4500.the ACA helps poor and low income and soaks the mindless class if you need to go that rte. Just for fun I checked and mid range policy for me and family had prem of 1500 month minimum. That also had high deductibles, no way affordable. 18 k yr for premiums before any costs out of pocket..
