DIAD 1 weighed 4 to 5 pounds. It is neat to see all of the DIADs lined up together to compare the sizes. I think DIAD 2 and 3 were around 3 to 3 1/2 pounds but I don't remember for sure.

DIAD 1 weighed 4 to 5 pounds. It is neat to see all of the DIADs lined up together to compare the sizes. I think DIAD 2 and 3 were around 3 to 3 1/2 pounds but I don't remember for sure.

D1s were top heavy also. D2 was better balanced and much more reliable. The big gripe I remember wi the D2 was the lens for the laser would scratch from wear over time and it could be difficult to scan tags.

I kept them in my underwear....the old trucks didnt have good heaters!...lol
