Ralph's had 1lb. cartons of strawberries for $.88. They were the big & juicy ones. I cleaned them and most are going in containers for the freezer...for ice cream topping.

They still have Ralphs out there? I remember Steve Allen talking about them years ago on the old Tonight Show. I'm surprised one of the big companies -Albertsons or Frys- hasn't taken them over. We consider ourselves lucky around here if we can find strawberries for under $2.50 a container. My favorites are the wild raspberries that grow around here. Me and the birds and other critters fight over them every year.
