<sigh> One week ago today: St Kitts.
We took an island tour that included Brimstone Hill Fortress. What a place! We were there less than an hour, I could have spent the day there poking around.

Totally enjoyed the royal wedding coverage. The ceremony was beautiful. The prettiest dress there was the bride's sister, Pippa's dress. It was a maid of honor dress that could actually be worn again. It was simple, but still elegant.

The choice of lilies of the valley (my b-day flower) was elegant. I liked that William looked like he so wanted to grin, but remained sober for the pomp.

Fergie & Andrew's girls looked like saloon hookers......showing that royalty doesn't automatically give you good taste!

I'm thinking of biking to the package store. I figure it's 9 miles one way, most of it uphill ... could be worth a six pack.

edit: And, on the bright side, it's mostly downhill on the way back hehe.

The Royal Wedding.

God forbid, a marriage of any UPSer ever gets that amount of coverage? What the crap makes any royal mutt so special that they deserve any more coverage than anyone else? It's all a bunch of crap if you ask me - not that anyone did, mind you.

I find the royals interesting....especially the younger ones. When it comes to Elizabeth (85) I know she has riches, but that life seems very lonely and very cold. I just remember the part in the King's Speech when her daddy became the king....the girls (Margaret & Elizabeth) could no longer run up to him and say "daddy! daddy!" They had to curtsy to him and address him as 'your majesty'. Kinda sad.
