I don't find the royals interesting.

Good thing we live in a democracy where you can care and I don't have to.

It's not sad at all; the girls are princesses ... for real.

If you mean the girls I was talking about....one is dead and the other is the present day queen.

[...] the girls (Margaret & Elizabeth) could no longer run up to him and say "daddy! daddy!" They had to curtsy to him and address him as 'your majesty'. Kinda sad.

Those girls. Admittedly, I don't even know who they are.

If an American chooses to bow to a pair (or a single, as the case may be) of foreign born princesses, that is their choice.

I, on the other hand, would rather stand for real freedom and ignore the "royal wedding" because of the obvious symbolism towards the Revolution.

Give him sometime to get out of the nuthouse first, unless Baba joins him and keeps them both there !

This thread is Meaningless Fluff.
This is a fun thread started by Tie.
It was a response to the nasty, hateful, bitter tone other threads morph into on BC.

The implication of mental illness is an attack and I am offended that you, Klein, ventured in the direction by posting a derogatory comment in this thread.

Personally, I miss Tie and I enjoy reading the words of Baba.

And in the words of BrownBaggin..."nothing to see here, move on".

<sigh> One week ago today: St Martin.
Went to a beach on the French side. Can't post any of those pics here.....!

We saw some really good sights, but also remember:

I am hoping he is reading the threads without logging on.

He started this awesome thread.
I am so lucky to be part of this thread and have a thread as comfortable as home.

Condi Rice on "30 Rock"!!!!

Love Condi, don't care for Baldwin. I send Tie jokes everyday....don't know if he still wants all the junk I send, but he hasn't said "stop" yet.

Hey Susie, why don't you use this. It's got a calculator.
Thanks dad.

This is the neighborhood. You get Elm Street, you get Main Street.

Thank you.

And that's just the first quarter.

So you want a slide in your office?
Or monkey bars - either one.

Where's Susie?
Is she expecting you?

Should Susie pick the slide or the monkey bars?

(Susie...PICK the Monkey Bars!!!)

thats a really insensitive thing to say. My Niece just spent a week in a mental institute. Such a pretty young girl. Her parents are frantically trying to get her the help while obviously being embarrassed over the mental implications that come up with insensitive comments like yours.

I agree.

pheryl, this thread is a safe haven.

I understand the deep emotion underlying your response and I felt it myself when I responded.

The comment is insensitive and in very poor taste. It was directed at two valued members of our UPS and BC family.

Your niece is lucky to have a family member, like you, to stand up to clueless bullys that imply mental illness is a joke.
We need more people, like you, to stand up and take the topic off the late night comedy circuit.

Please don't allow the comment to color your view of Brown Cafe...

pheryl, Welcome to Brown Cafe.

Everyone else...carry on.
