Canada's Radio Act requires that "a licenser may not broadcast ... any false or misleading news." The provision has kept Fox News and right-wing talk radio out of Canada and helped make Canada a model for liberal democracy and freedom.
Canada is one of many countries that does not allow FOX news to broadcast in their country. FOX by its own admission in court, feels it has the RIGHT to LIE or distort the news under the first amendment in the United States. Because of that position, other countries will not allow them to broadcast.
I aplaud those decisions.
England is on the verge of throwing Murdock and his empire out of the UK for being a scumbag.

We are the leader of the free world because we are uniquely American. Fox News leans to the right just like America and it is the most watched cable news network in AMERICA. MSNBC is barely hanging on because the only folks who watch it drink the ultra uber loon Kool-aid. They twist the facts to incite racial and religious prejudice.
You apparently don't understand MOST Americans. - We prefer freedom of speech in this country. Freedom means both sides get to tell their story. IF the kool-aid drinking loons could have their way, they would rid America of right wing speech in this country.

MSNBC lies, CNN lies.....fair & balanced to me would be to have a choice from all the news outlets. But, if you can't trust your citizens to handle it all and decipher it for themselves, then I guess you spoon feed them only what you want them to hear.
I'm not defending any one news outlet............I'm defending the right of people to hear all of them and decide for themselves!

Have you now come to realize that the news and views as heard at least on the major networks and major print media are controlled and managed and therefore not the real truth?

Your opinion and you are entitled to it.... I watch Fox a lot except Hannity and Greta so I would be interested in what you would characterize as a lie and a spin. I can back up my claim about MSNBC, I think you should do the same!!

I realize that I'm lucky to have the choice of which station I choose for news. I choose the one that most aligns with the way I see things!

So you are saying that you prefer perceived 'facts' to align with your beliefs? Does that include evolution? Pope as infallible? Earth being the only place in the universe that has God's chosen creatures on it? Only saved 'Christians' go to 'heaven'?
Some people choose to ignore facts, and twist them to fit their beliefs. Some examine the facts and base their beliefs on them. I'm guessing you are more of the former persuasion, rather than later.

I thought I was extremely clear......I have a choice, I make my choice and it doesn't concern anybody but me !!
I have my own belief system and if someone slams my beliefs, I don't listen to their garbage.

Something interesting I realized in the case of Mitt. He's a Harvard man like Obama but consider this. Bush 1, Clinton, Bush 2, all Yale men and now Obama and Romney are Harvard men. As a side note, Al Gore was Harvard and John Kerry was Yale. See a trend here?
I wonder what the statistical odds are for 2 colleges to dominate the office and nominations for the highest office in the land for the last 20 plus years?
I know Just will want it pointed out the both Bushes and Kerry were Bones' men too. Looking over that membership list since 1840' does make you stop and wonder for a second or two.
