Need advice

I have been the pm clerk in my center for over 2 years. I recently got the opportunity to go be a cover driver. I passed. Drove through peak.

I was the only one certified in DMP, small package auditor
Anyways when the time came to retake the assessment
For recertification
I was unable to get the passing score i needed. Was told that is now a requirement to pm clerk (be certified in hazmat etc) i had to forfeit my position to someone with less seniority? They want me to now report to preload, while someone with 1.) less seniority is working my original shift and the only reason i had to forfeit was because of the qualifications?, but this person isn’t qualified in any of said needed positions? Can i fight for my position back? Or is this just a work as directed deal.
They were gonna have me report to preload 6am and then run a route after. Any help or advice would be appreciated

Do you need an air compressor or tire gauge

Lol go run a route and come back taking a 280+ question test. If you had nothing useful to say keep your comments to yourself.
Bet you wouldn’t pass any material to do with hazmat
I never wanted to be dmp was forced into by management when time for recertification came i didn’t really care i still tried though nonetheless they make no sense saying someone with those certifications only can work pm shift when the one who replaced me while i went to cover drive has not been sent to the week long class that they hold for the hazmat stuff anyways
Who just wakes up and decides to be a mean person ahahah treat others how you would like to be treated

Do you have some kind of affliction that keeps you from passing the test? Or just kind of dumb

They made you switch from night sort to preload?
Yes, i am a cover driver now it seems they want me to preload and then run a route. I called in twice and then was told to report to preload almost feels like retaliation for calling off but i was already informed a while back i was gonna be on preload if i didn’t pass the assignment but just doesn’t make sense they have someone in the same boat no certification doing pm clerk when they told me it was a requirement i was gonna reach out to union rep but just wanted other people’s advice because sometimes the union rep doesn’t really care to back us up. I always ask who else can i speak to for help and get ignored. I live in. A small rural area we had no management at our building for a while and the main sup is 2 hours away. Never answers the phone
He doesn’t care about our center it’s small so i get it he has 200 hundred something other drivers to worry about. I have been with the company since i was 18. I am 22 now. I have come to learn they are super shady

If you can't pass the the certification then you don't get to do the job. The other person still has to pass , but is given an opportunity to take the certification tests.
Study if you wanted to do it.

You make no sense & obviously aren’t reading my responses? I understand i did not pass but what I’m trying to get at is i was told its a requirement- they have someone with no certification doing the Pm clerk, same position i had to forfeit to someone with less seniority.
You re take the test every 480 days. I was rusty i dont apply the material everyday. I got a score of 77% but i needed 90% to pass. They had me running a route to go back and sit in front of the computer for hours taking a 300 question test. I was exhausted and never wanted to do dmp , but didn’t wanna forfeit my position
I still have more knowledge to hazmat then the one who replaced me while i had been driving
In my opinion it should be a am clerk requirement that’s when the most package handling is done at our building anyway
As I’ve already said in a previous response if you have nothing useful to say why reply?

I have no idea to be honest things always go a little differently over here given we’re on the back burner union rep as even admitted they don’t do things by the book because of the small city we’re in they said “ cut corners “ but I’ve experienced it i need to try and find out I’ve reached out to my union rep waiting on a response what he has to say about everything

Just because you don't like what some someone says doesn't mean it's not useful. You didn't pass certification, the person who has less seniority than you is allowed to do the job until they take their certification. Been that way since UPS started. Stop crying about having to do a route then taking a test. I had to take the same test while getting kicked out of my customer counter job and dealing with my wife going in and out of the hospital ICU and passed it.
So suck it up or move on. You want someone to hold your hand and tell you it's going to be okay? :censored2: off

The only useful information you included was they still get to do it until they get the chance to take the test but that still doesn’t make sense to me & really didn't answer any of my questions nor give me the advice i was seeking but thanks anyways kudos to you foh you came onto my thread im okay with constructive criticism but you’re just plain rude

So you failed the test and aren’t qualified to do the work. What part about being qualified for work do you not understand? Should you be allowed to be a feeder driver because someone with less seniority was able to qualify? You going to use your seniority for whatever you want? It doesn’t work that way. Your best bet would be to see how long until you can re take the test. If they give you a date, make sure you eat a big breakfast and get a full nights sleep the night before so you don’t have any excuses for not being able to pass.

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.
