The hazmat test is not the easiest but you passed it once which means you can do it again. Usually they have a folder with the answers to the questions available I’d ask for it to study. In my experience when I get an answer wrong the next page has the answer for the next time you take it. Use your phone and take a picture of the answers.I have been the pm clerk in my center for over 2 years. I recently got the opportunity to go be a cover driver. I passed. Drove through peak.
I was the only one certified in DMP, small package auditor
Anyways when the time came to retake the assessment
For recertification
I was unable to get the passing score i needed. Was told that is now a requirement to pm clerk (be certified in hazmat etc) i had to forfeit my position to someone with less seniority? They want me to now report to preload, while someone with 1.) less seniority is working my original shift and the only reason i had to forfeit was because of the qualifications?, but this person isn’t qualified in any of said needed positions? Can i fight for my position back? Or is this just a work as directed deal.
They were gonna have me report to preload 6am and then run a route after. Any help or advice would be appreciated
It’s just odd to me I’ve been PM CLERK FOR over two years never ever has it been a requirement but once i told them i no longer wanted to be dmp because i am the only one in the building with the certification they told me it was a requirement to be pm clerkSo you failed the test and aren’t qualified to do the work. What part about being qualified for work do you not understand? Should you be allowed to be a feeder driver because someone with less seniority was able to qualify? You going to use your seniority for whatever you want? It doesn’t work that way. Your best bet would be to see how long until you can re take the test. If they give you a date, make sure you eat a big breakfast and get a full nights sleep the night before so you don’t have any excuses for not being able to pass.

are you part time or full time? I’ve been looking for something in writing but can’t find anything in the national or my local language. Only thing I can find is the preferred work list but it doesn’t seem to guarantee anything for part timersIt’s just odd to me I’ve been PM CLERK FOR over two years never ever has it been a requirement but once i told them i no longer wanted to be dmp because i am the only one in the building with the certification they told me it was a requirement to be pm clerk
Now the clerk who has replaced me while I’ve gone to cover drive is uncertified is all I’m saying.

It sounds like they want you to be a cover driver based on the info you provided. Hope it works out for you

You called in twice over peak you stated...how many times you call in over the last two years? It’s just odd to me I’ve been PM CLERK FOR over two years never ever has it been a requirement but once i told them i no longer wanted to be dmp because i am the only one in the building with the certification they told me it was a requirement to be pm clerk

The case cracker, finally. You called in twice over peak you stated...how many times you call in over the last two years?
Just because you don't like what some someone says doesn't mean it's not useful. You didn't pass certification, the person who has less seniority than you is allowed to do the job until they take their certification. Been that way since UPS started. Stop crying about having to do a route then taking a test. I had to take the same test while getting kicked out of my customer counter job and dealing with my wife going in and out of the hospital ICU and passed it.
So suck it up or move on. You want someone to hold your hand and tell you it's going to be okay? off
MaybePeak is over, & i am entitled to utilize my sick time. Ive rarely called in over the years.
i have been there but thats besides the point

You need to learn how to post first, tadpole. You amuse me. And I never needed to work part time when I started, 9 months of casual driving plus unemployment was enough back then. You either made the list or not. Standards were different.Lol & where did you start off? Ahaha humble yourself you must be bored you keep coming back to comment on my thread
The poor guy got to go driving without a bid. That’s a dream come true. I’d ride that out then file after thirty days. Easy money and great way to gain seniorityMisery loves company
