Peak is over, & i am entitled to utilize my sick time. Ive rarely called in over the years.
i have been there but thats besides the point
No, you are correct.
Management will never say they pick favorites. But it's human nature to call upon your best employees, team mates, soldiers etc. UPS management just has to fall in line with this legal agreement, and it sucks sometimes TBH. Maybe you've given them a way out and now you can work preload.

Been there, seen that. It is what it is.

our building is so small and cuts so many corners they don’t do things by the book nobody in the center wants to pm clerk so i got left with it
Just wanted clarification as to when there is no more driver work for me ,
I am now told report to preload
While a seasonal person they’ve kept is pm clerking and took my reg shift just was wondering if it was a work as directed deal or if there was something i could do. I didn’t expect all these negative responses sheesh

They'll let the seasonal go after tomorrow...your PM sup will now do all HazMat incidence and clerk hours will be used to fudge local sort/preload #s to "fill the bucket"

They do absolutely nothing right at our hub. Nothing goes in bins, no paper work for damages, everything is either tossed in reg trash or not sure now what they’ve been doing with it I’ve expressed multiple times to higher ups. Nothing is done correctly we’ve never had an actual dmp ever set up i told my supervisor at the time just because i passed a paper test doesn’t mean anything , everyone got to go back to their center and get hands on training i was the start of the whole thing and was never equipped with the right tools another reason i didnt want to recertify at the time i was the bottom guy so it was forced on me when the time came around again i wasnt so i had a say this time and thats when they hit me w its a requirement if i wanna keep my pm clerking shift.
Since i went to cover drive they had the seasonal working pm shift and now they still are while i was told to report to preload before running route
I don’t mind doing the work. I was just curious as to after. When there is no more driver work for me. I was told i was only scheduled to drive thru the season. I feel it’s only right i get my reg shift until they get someone w the said required certifications? Im over this whole thread tho i regret ever asking for any advice 😂

I feel sincere compassion for your direct supervisors and union steward. You seem like a real treat.
Good luck with the rest of your career. May you remain healthy and retire rich.

Oh i am just pointing that out to you all. I keep my head down work as directed, go in and out.
Never ever bug my sup unless my time card is messed up, other than that. Pretty chill at our hub I’m not complaining I’m just saying they want to be so by the book but cut so many corners themselves anyways kudos to you
