Negotiations

It may have been on the 30th, he said they made some real movement on wages but wasn’t enough

This isn't difficult.

A LBFO is an offer from the Company and then no further negotiations are going to take place. It's a take it or leave it offer.

SOB asked for a LBFO by the 30th. UPS gave him an offer on the 30th. The Union turned it down. UPS asked to keep negotiating and that they would have a deal by July 5th.

Since UPS was still willing to negotiate, it was not a LBFO. It was an offer that SOB turned down.

On July 5th, negotiations broke down. UPS said the Teamsters walked away and that they are still willing to negotiate. That means they never gave a LGFO. SOB can ask for one all he wants. UPS does not have to give him one if they don't want. As long as they are willing to keep negotiating, there was no LBFO.

And if there is a handshake agreement before Aug 1st, that is a tentative agreement negotiated between UPS and the Union. You seem to think the Teamsters should strike when there is a tentative agreement, that just needs member ratification.

I don't care what SOB may have said, or may have changed his mind again. He was telling UPS there will be no months long extensions like there was in the past. Have a contract by Aug 1st or we walk. A handshake agreement is a tentative contract.

You're splitting hairs about whether SOB said it has to be approved by the union, and the members, before Aug 1st. If you want to strike when we have a tentative agreement, go right ahead.

If we do not have a TA before Aug 1st, and SOB extends the current contract while they continue to negotiate, then, and only the, can you bitch about the same old same old.

Extra time to cook the books…

Nope. The numbers will just prove that UPS is a cash cow and refuse to compensate their employees fairly. It will kill their stance about not having any more to give their workers.

If the numbers were bad, that would benefit them in contract negotiations and they would post them and it would be all over the media.

What’s the problem here. “Since UPS was still willing to negotiate”? Then it’s not a LBFO. Look I have kids, I know what happens when you don’t follow through with what you say you’re going to do. He wanted their LBFO but UPS was still willing to negotiate” well then I guess it wasn’t their best offer was it ?!! Think a little bit

He wanted their LBFO

I don’t care what he wanted. UPS did not have to give it to him and guess what? They didn’t.

You that black kid with the black jacket on??? Not sure what he was looking at towards the end of his little pitch for the cameras??

A little humorous…two things stand out:

1. The remark from one of the participants that he “was a package car driver” than rolled his eyes upward.

2. The following clip from another sitting on the couch that he just works 15 hours a week.

I did not know UPS pays for full tuition…?

The last remark about being were you want to be on my retirement…
